I think it's fine mostly, especially now that they've improved the queueline with grass.

Thorpe don't really look after the theming on their other rides very well, so what's the point in installing loads of effects/scenery for Hyperia that will break and look grotty after a couple of years?

Saw is really well done and has some nice effects

Personally I think Thorpe should give up with theming and become an inland amusement park, particularly with Universal on its way.

You can have multiple theme parks coexist with each other SeaWorld operates right near universal as well

In all seriousness yes I’m aware of the obvious, my point is Thorpe would probably do better with a well done amusement park vibe (like Liseberg) rather than a poor imitation of a good theme park. Leave Chessington and Towers to do the theme park thing.

I like the theming on Swarm too. Ninferno not bad either.

Naturally all the rides John Wardley was involved with so sadly we wont be seeing anything that good again at Thorpe.

Derren Brown's Ghost Train had fantastic theming, and remains strong in its current iteration. Shame about the ride itself.

The lack of significant theming on Hyperia doesn't bother me, but the area nonetheless looked absolutely terrible last year.

Apart from Swarm, no theming at TP. Well Mr Monkeys Banana ride is quite good You can't "theme" a park - you can BUILD a theme park/area. Otherwise a waste of money to try - as Hyperia has demonstrated with their dancers and attempt at low-budget theming.

Hyperia does have a theme - a fictional goddess who forges wings to fly and overcome their fears.

It's just very badly executed, and typical Merlin doing the bare minimum as long as the ride is marketable.

The area looks nice at the moment, but they really need to sort out the 'splashdown' area which currently looks like a drained city center canal.

The screens in the queue do explain it clearly tbf. At least when it's not showing an excited thoosie youtuber boarding the ride and putting his belongings away, or John Burton waffling away with a hard hat on*.

1) They're a theme park. Theming is sort of to be expected.

2) That's the sort of positive attitude to aspire to! "It'll look naff in a bit, just leave it as it is lads. Time to go to the pub."

Of course, an elaborately themed coaster would be ideal, but that's not where Thorpe are at If they do theme rides it's always dull and depressing (Swarm, Ghost Train, Walking Dead, Saw). At least Hyperia has an upbeat vibe for once!

Their older attractions (Stealth, Nemesis Inferno, Colossus) have a much nicer atmosphere imo. Ideally Hyperia would have had that sort of landscaping to compliment the story they went with.

At least Hyperia's recent performance has finally given some meaning to the name Fearless Valley... The clues were always there. This is some truly Level Four Rollercoaster King planning. An artist.

Need your help I brought tickets off the Thorpe Park website and paid with Apple Pay but didn’t notice that my battery was low it died and charged it up straight away but the page expired and I don’t know how to get my tickets now. I got record on my online banking that payment was taken.

I think they’re usually emailed to you? I did a ticket today for my AP visit coming up and had a email confirmation.

Fixed that for you.

I wouldn't say it's to be expected at an amusement park, but it is nice to have. Liseberg is an amusement park with some themed attractions so it would be nice for Thorpe to inject areas of the park like Hyperia with more theming.

But to be fair, I don't think Hyperia is an immersive coaster. It's stylized. And it can do with more stylistic details and more landscaping than mostly a garden lawn and a few plants.

The queue line most certainly should have some stylistic elements like statues, anvils, more metal wings etc. But more importantly, it needs water features. And shade.

It looks better than it used to, but I don't consider Hyperia's stylization and landscaping to be even remotely finished... probably because they ran out of money.

I would have thought it would just take the email associated with your Apple wallet and send the tickets there.
