They'd be better off putting RAP through the current FT entrance and getting all queues pre-merged before the station, then use what was the RAP merger for batching
There is no RAP merger, the entrance is the fire escape on the exit side of the station. RAP batches by the hosts yelling across the station how many seats they need and only uses the rear of the train.
Current Fast Track has even more stairs than current RAP so probably not suitable though i agree would overall be better. I think if the appetite was there they could deconstruct the entire queue area to make it multiple lines but i can't imagine it is and also you'd undoubtedly lose the theming.

That or make a level entrace from the arch to main queue just before it goes into the building and use that as RAP
Only other issue is i believe red RAP need to be allocated to the rear of the train for evacuation procedures (although that is already flawed but that's another subject).

Have they put separate batchers back onto Vampire yet? Last time I rode it, I seem to remember there only being 2 platform staff on the entire ride who each handled both batching and restraint checking, with one handling RAP/FT and the other handling the main queue.

Main queue and FT merge outside.
RAP is on exit side of station platform.
One host does RAP and checks restraints on the exit side of train.
Second host batches the rest (previously merged main and FT), then checks that side of the train.
Only blemish was some odd batching on Mandrill Mayhem. The RAP line was particularly long with it being i believe the only ride that shares with Fast Track yet the host was only putting on one group per cycle, meaning we waited 20 minutes on an advertised 25 minute queue plus got the time out afterwards so in fact waited twice as long as the main queue.
I thought they scanned at the queue entranced and so the countdown would start at that point, so the timeout would have been done by the time you got off of the ride?
It’s frustrating watching the single rider queue on Mandrill (except when I’ve been in it of course) but every so often they just let multiples go together. I’ve seen it quite a few times so not just one host’s batching. I wonder if it’s to keep the single rider queue down, but it doesn’t make sense when the main queue was so long. Why does it matter if the single rider queue is long?
Some of the staff are excellent at this and will fill the spaces properly, much to the annoyance of people who have clearly tried to get on together. It sounds sad, but it is quite amusing to see a couple of people who have tried it on going down the single rider queue look pretty annoyed when one gets on and the other has to wait until the next turn.
Other staff either can't be arsed or they just can't work it out in their heads.

No they stopped doing that a while ago, presumably because it requires another member of staff.
Strange, we visited over Easter a couple of times and they were scanning at the queue entrance. Maybe it is staff level dependent. No they stopped doing that a while ago, presumably because it requires another member of staff.

Perhaps it varies by how busy the park is?
