[2026] CBeebies Land Junior Coaster

@Hid I think your logic would be sound if it wasn’t replacing something else.

If this coaster were being added on empty land, I think the reaction would be more positive. But because it’s replacing a staple family attraction with no height restriction to add something that the area already has, it’s diluting variety within the area and seems like an odd addition.
At the end of the day parks have to progress can't stay stagnant I am ready for Towers to do something brand new

They have long queues because the park is busier than most also they all have the capacites providing all trains are running to deal with the crowds.

Always complaining get a brand new ride complain, no investment complain, retheme complain Alton can't win anymore whatever they do people will complain

Forums are for debate not to sycophant the park, when they do something worthy of praise they get praise, it won’t be universal praise as everyone has differing preferences.

This project at the moment makes unusual sense for all the reasons outlined. The only reason I am sitting on the fence is it’s possible other elements of next years lineup that don’t require planning permission may demonstrate some logic but I am not holding my breath.

If you don’t like people disagreeing with the parks decisions however, discussion forum debates will never be your safe place.

Great pictures and very sad to see. We still know little about what the new coaster will look like, but I can’t help but think CBeebies land is losing a great deal aesthetically - rides interacting and intertwining with each other always adds so much to the look and feel of an area in my opinion.

As I say, this is almost my catchphrase now:

Welcome to TowersStreet.com!
The complaining never ends

Although I do believe we have a plethora of good reasons to find this “addition” a bit of an unreasonable and awkward, I dare not mention all them again..

You seem to defend the Towers poor decisions fruitlessly - of course while I cannot tell you to just “go to Europe” (that’s a broad assumption that you can or should), may I suggest you consider opening your mind to or researching other parks past the English Channel? You might even concur we are quite behind compared to our euro using friends, and we probably shouldn’t be dealing with this… not poor but subpar quality, and how much better things could be!

You’d think a lit matchstick would be blinding if you’ve never seen the sun!

Back on this coaster, I’m confused why it has to be a coaster at all. I think the worst part is, if it is Bluey themed - and get real, it is - it will likely be deemed as a success as the property will be inherently popular. It might lead us to seeing more like this. I may have mentioned this before, but I was watching an Offhand Disney video (he’s quite interesting, if a little closed minded to parks outside of Disney) talking about Epic Universe. He brought up he thought that there where a few too many coasters, saying it had “coasteritus”.

I thought it was a ridiculous notion at first, and while I don’t think it applies to Epic Universe outside of that werewolf coaster, but coming back to read this forum maybe it’s not so ludicrous. There is really not enough space for this coaster. The height limit is too high for what it is. I would bet that, as said before, this is all a corporate move to get more coasters in, because coaster = good. Bluey seems to be popular and interesting enough to stick to a wide margin of younger age ranges (which is a feat as that time in a persons life is highly volatile and transitional), but this is outright alienating a large chunk of toddlers that might want to see Bluey.

It will be successful, but it could’ve been a goldmine. The missed opportunity and pot decisions are just painful to witness.

Damn, they really are Ship of Theseus-ing CBeebies Land, crazy to think the original generation of families who visited CBeebies Land will find it unrecognisable next year (not that they’d visit now).

Makes you think that Towers doesn’t retain those families as they get older, or offer much for blended families, but that’s for a different topic.

I am not sure if it's been said and been missed but for me I feel the best option if they wanted Bluey was to re theme Postman Pat. They could have either based it on the family car or even the Grannies Cozy Coupe based and looked at a collaboration with Little Tikes. Ultimately would have been cheaper and keeps the ride demographic the same and Get Set Go also survives to it's normal length.Screenshot_20250603_231812_Chrome.jpg

I mean it probably isn't too unusual, CBeebies has changed quite a lot since then, it is more keeping up with the new shows.

I would agree that the amount of rides that suits the whole family is quite limited, although I haven't been to a theme park that pulls it off for both very young children and older children, the closest is probably Disney due to the number of shows they have on but there is still quite a few rides that CBeebies age range wouldn't be able to go on.

Work is underway on Postman Pat removal and Get Set Go route shortening.

Squirrel Nutty Get Set Go, must be one of if not the last 'original' attractions that they've not butchered (until now).

I find it very sad that a park with so very few sedate / relaxing rides is shortening one and removing another completely to add another rollercoaster. I think it's bad enough that these rides ended up being apart of CBeebies Land in the first place, meaning what were once attractions which whole families would ride ended up only really being attractive to families with young children, and now they're being butchered some more.

A very strange and disappointing move from Towers. I don't doubt at all that Bluey will be immensely popular but I think a re-theme or new attraction that wasn't a replacement would have been ideal. I don't think it's worth ruining two other rides for.

I would've said a Bluey Land somewhere else or that is within Cbeebies Land but separate I'd say.

I believe In the Night Garden still seems to be there in it's original form, although I could jinx it by saying it and that it could be next to be removed, modified or shortened.

I know I'm old and out of touch...
But I haven't watched a bluey in years, and see no relevance to kids coasters.
Have I got it wrong again?

No but it’s themed if they stick a few stickers on the walls and a giant plastic Bluey in the queue line so it’ll be the best thing ever.

Yes the decision is odd but let’s hope more is planned for next season. A flat or two and a relocation of Pat in addition to this coaster wouldn’t be all that bad

I have no particular problem with a 2nd coaster in CBeebies, and Bluey is a popular IP. But I echo the same concerns as everyone else.

1) Losing a ride with no height limit and park staple.

2) Losing some of the nice interaction on get set to.

As I say there might be other plans for next year that will ease those concerns but at the moment that’s the problem.

I also feel the park is still massively neglecting the 1m to 1.4m demographic, what’s the point of attracting the CBeebies audience when you have nothing for them to do once they grow up a little bit.

The areas that used to have those style rides were in the Dark Forest and World of David Walliams Areas they made a mistake getting rid of both prior areas.

Hoping more rides come for that age group, I enjoy a slow paced ride sometimes as much as I love thrill coaster sometimes better to go slow

The whole point of Get Set Go is that it takes you through the Cbeebies house and then out into the land to see all of the attractions, with the onboard audio pointing out everything there is to see.

What happens now? Board the bug, then “look there’s Corner Coffee! That used to be good didn’t it!” followed by “Can you see where the outdoor stage used to be?!” followed by a slow descent back to the station.
