Isn't it just.
It could become obsessive.

Nothing wrong with looking at Queue Times can sometimes be helpful when you are within days of visiting the park gauge what attractions are available

Over three hours queue for the Big One, two hours for the Streak and Icon...at least an hour for the rest of the major rides...yet no dipper, because it is a weekday...
Long may the school trips continue, but pity the poor children!

Whether it's worth waiting two hours for the Streak, depends on who's streaking.

On the slightly more positive side, it would seem as though the park have started a new series on their YouTube channel of Pleasure Beach-related challenges, with a duo named Stuart and Houston (are they anybody we know?) racing to Pleasure Beach from Glasgow and London respectively. The loser had to ride Valhalla without a poncho, and there were some fun challenges along the way:


I can’t quite tell if this is a good marketing stunt or a little bit random, but I thought it was a fun watch!

Not that I know of.

But as the topic has come up, Scott and Stephen from Your Experience Guide are doing an all-day Big One challenge on 21st July, in aid of the OddBalls Foundation:

Yes. @MathewLancaster and I did it 19 times one day, then smashed this with 25 another day. Absolutely bonkers.

It pretty much opened with the park as it was a school trip day. The kids didn’t start going on it til mid afternoon

The BPB website is showing a school trip warning for Monday, but I thought most schools had broken up. Do we think it‘ll be absolutely rammed or not?

I know some schools break up on wednesday next week

Some days have been far busier than others during the schools season.
If they are actually issuing warnings, it is better to heed them, believe me!

It certainly will if they’ve given that warning. Stay away. Schools generally finish midweek this week

I think the majority of schools have finished, but all those that haven't are going to the Beach.

I accidentally went on that Monday last year so avoid. I only rode the big one via speedy pass, Enso, and the train. Watched Hot Ice as well.

Derbyshire schools don’t finish until Thursday for most (mine is actual Friday).the kids don’t start back until mon 8th Sept. Nottinghamshire schools are also next Friday (they have less time now in summer and have two weeks in oct).. However more likely to effect Alton towers.

There may be other areas as well but the vast majority finished yesterday.

Question on height restrictions- website says 1.3m for Valhalla but most the fan sites say 1.17 if accompanied. Which is wrong?

Think the height restriction was increased about a year or so ago, so the 117cm is out of date

Sorry, I have lost the link but a derailment on the train caught on video.

Loading ramp seemed to drop after it left the station, driver unaware of people trying to get their attention.

It caught the track joining at the junction causing derailment
