Air is unique and deserves its place in the park

What it finally needs is a theme to fit the area it’s in

And the tunnel - do we need to reboot the most famous thread in this forum

You wouldn't want a ride like Toutatis, Batman Gotham City Escape or Velocicoaster at Alton Towers that seems like the perfect next step for them

I didn’t say that, but trust me there is enough room in the park to build a ride like the ones mentioned elsewhere.

There’s lots of things I’d like to see at AT, it’s fun to fantasise and discuss.

And then there’s the reality of what they need and what they will do which unfortunately is very different.

Does Galactica need a retheme? Yes but I think there are a lot of other priorities which combined with the current budgetary constraints mean I suspect it won’t be happening anytime soon.

Oh I agree there are other priorities other than Galactica, Food and Ride Availability the 2 big ones in my opinion and need for more Flats, Dark Rides and Water Rides

I hold the ride with very high esteem. That's more of a personal thing for me. It was the first ride I went to opening year. First ride it hailed. Lovely stuff.

Air was basic. It had a charm. That the galactica brand unfortunately doesn't. Without it's VR, the theming is lost. I would strip it back to it's air theme. Especially now you have modern theming with Nemesis and the toxicator.

A dynamically priced attraction, where you have to dodge bottles of piss being lobbed at you by melons in bucket hats, all whilst the area pongs with the stench of skunk and rehashed/reimagined hits from 30 years ago are blasted out loud, in a wave of 90s nostalgia.

I guess Forbidden Valley is already the World's First Oasis Themed Land®.

It's always nice to ride in the SUNSHHHHHYYYYYYIIIIIIIINNNNNEEEEE®

Anyway, the theme of Galactica ™ isn't that bad. But it has been seen before. (Space Mountain, Star Tours off the top of my head.) I never did manage to ride it with VR. Which i am 50/50 about being disappointed by. When the the VR inevitably failed. The themes are no longer needed. To me it's like removing the tent from the black hole™ and still calling it The Black Hole™. It's not right.

The reason I say strip it back, simple. Air™, ok it never got the theming love it deserved. The tunnel (No. You get a life), the surrounding land and the paint job. Was clearly a, "let's not go over budget." But it doesn't need that much to improve. I think the station is ok and have always loved the Air Gates signs. (They should sell a raisen of that) It doesn't need to be complicated. Nice and simple.

Plus we have the real hero of the piece. Ladies and gentlemen the original ride ethem tune, the best towers put out for me.

Forbidden valley has had much of late. Time to share that further down the valley.

Galactica's aesthetic irks me.

The main thing it needs is sorting out the trains and PLC. Track just needs a paint I imagine but the trains seem to be the most source of headaches and look really tatty.
