Trip Planning: Information, advice and questions!

I have read mixed reviews to this point. It sounds like it has teething issues, with some poor installation - very unusual for EP. I would expect this has been installed by a third party.
That is surprising.

Put simply, no.

It’s not the worst crazy golf I’ve ever done, but in the context of Europa’s very high standards it isn’t great.
Wow. I envisaged an Alton Towers-eque themed course but 1000% times better. At least I've done my homework, Evening swim it is :p

Perfectly fine is generous.

I provide a few examples below, and again for context, this is built by the World’s Best Theme Park.

Notice the poor layout of features. Here the loop is wildly misaligned with the starting point for the hole. If you’re advising by the rules which are set out on the scorecard, it’s nigh impossible to get your ball around the loop from this position:

You’ll notice in the picture above that the surface is strewn with bark from the landscaping. This is the same on every hole and often gets in the way of your ball. It’s seemingly just not being cleaned. Here’s another example:

As for the finishing, there are wires, ducts and unfinished electrics everywhere. It doesn’t look great, but for an area that’s got children everywhere - “won’t somebody please thing of the children…”

And finally, the positioning. It’s not too bad if you’re on the course playing golf, but if you’re trying to relax on your balcony I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t be thrilled at one group after another traipsing past your balcony and bedroom window. You’re pretty much on the course:

Hi all, just after your experience and advice please! We are thinking of going to Europa next year but unfortunately it has to be in the summer school holidays. Does anyone know if there is likely to be a quieter time out of the 6-ish weeks we have here in the UK? I have read that end of August is likely to be slightly quieter but then I saw a comment about it being busier! I just want to try and make an informed decision before we book anything. Thanks :)

12 months ago I was in the same position. A crowd calender will help. You can even look at that site later this month to get an idea of live queue times.
The advice I got off this forum was to give yourself plenty of days to enjoy everything.. We went with 4 days in park, 1 day in Rulantica. A few say 2-3 days for the park is ok. But we wanted to really take it in.

Ps. We are going August 13th to 18th

Thank you and have a great time! Be interested to know how busy it is for you this year :)

I went looking for hotel info ahead of my trip next week. On this vlog it suggests when they got to the hotel the vloggers didn't have tickets to the park for arrival day (they had them for the full days only) but as they were staying onsite they got 1 hour pass to enter the park at the end of the day. Is that standard? We're staying 6 nights and are hotel friend members.
Also is there anywhere where you can see how late the park opens after the advertised standard hours. Queues times look amazing at the moment but aware that might change as some European schools broke up only last week

Yep that’s standard.

I meant historically. I thought there would be one thoosie that collects that data 😂
This thoosie has data for last week:
Last week was advertised as "at least 6pm" and was 8pm on Tuesday when the weather was amazing and the park was rammed, 7pm on Wednesday when it rained most of the day and was quieter and 730pm on Thursday which was ok weather-wise but felt busy-ish.

"At least 6pm" is standard throughout the season but internally each day has a predetermined 1hr window for possible closing times, e.g. 7pm - 8pm (it seems likely this was the range every day last week). The actual closing time is decided on the day from within that window.

Apparently the more precise closing time info is (or was) available somewhere in the hotel app in advance of the actual closing time being confirmed each day but as I've never used the hotel app I don't know where that info was or if it's still there.

You've now owned the task of logging data for the rest of eternity.. Godspeed Alix!

It’s true that the hotel app sometimes gives the game away, on the front page it will list the minimum closing time. Whilst that’s always advertised at 6pm, sometimes the hotel app will list at at say 7pm. I have however found it to be a little inconsistent as 6pm days can sometimes work out to be, say, 7:30pm closes.

The preset windows can also lead to some inconsistencies between visitation and closing. A quiet Sunday can see a 7pm close whilst a busy Monday the next day could close half an hour earlier. It can be a little frustrating, but if you have it in mind it’s often a great time to get walk on rides if you find yourself there on a quiet weekend at the end of the day.
