When were you last scared on a ride ?

I would say i'm a little nervous about Voltron but that's more due to the conflicting reports of roughness... so that's not an exciting feeling of fear.
So further to my 'was worried about Voltron being rough but actually it was amazing' comment on the Europa thread... we got on a few more times, was amazing until the outer left-hand side of train 5 which was pretty rough.

The last time I was close to scared on a coaster was actually Tonnerre 2 Zeus this past week. I had a serious back injury in late 2019 and thought I'd stepped on the train back to paralysis town 😂 also really didn't like the restraint system at all!

The only rides to ever scare me:

- Pirates of the Caribbean (Disneyland Paris) - I cried

- Haunted Mansion (Disneyland Paris) - nearly cried

- Pirate Falls (Legoland) - Cried

- Quantum (Thorpe Park) - Cried

Disclaimer: I was between the ages of about 5-7 during these experiences 😂

As a kid, I just dreaded the stomach drop sensation which you find on a ton of flat rides and such - Rita’s launch gave me the biggest gut punch of my life the first time but by that point I grew to love that feeling

Nighthawk at Carowinds. What felt like a very small pin being the only thing connecting the two parts of the vest restraint together, as well as multiple seats out of use, and old-skool Vekoma being old-skool Vekoma, I was genuinely fearful throughout my ride on it and willing it to end!

Good riddance!

Upswingert at Liseberg.

It was the good kind of scary but had me instinctively holding on for dear life. Much better than Rush.
I'm with you there, I found that one very intimidating - especially as it's situated right on the edge of the hill so you are swinging out into nothingness if you're facing out. The restraints on those Screamin Swings feel pretty insubstantial as well. I had to really psych myself up to do that one, it was worth it though!
