Paultons Park: General Discussion

The safe money is on some sort of flume ride. It just gets a bit buried in this discussion, as speculation of something less obvious is more interesting.
Definitely agree, it's got to be a flume style ride.

Whether that's a more traditional flume, one with different elements like Viking Voyage at Emerald Park, a shoot the chute, water coaster, supersplash or rocking boat - I'm thinking it's going to be something that will cause a splash/wave.

Something that will ease pressure on Splash Lagoon where less older ones/adults will ride and focus on the bigger flume instead (which is a good thing for the target audience for Splash Lagoon).

I’m not convinced they’ll be building two flume rides in the space of 3 years personally.
I think it's more likely to be a water coaster personally. I do agree that a splash battle would fit the target audience nicely, though, although I'd be surprised if that's what they went for.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's not a traditional flume but more elaborate like a water coaster of some form 🤔

It's a huge space and at the same time, Mack haven't done traditional log flumes in a very long time.

Then again during the early 2000s Thorpe installed three major coasters (Colossus, Nemesis Inferno and Sealth) all in a short space of time so perhaps it's not exactly a far fetched idea.

Maybe a less troublesome and maybe greatly tones down Valhalla attraction would be good to kill two birds with one stone being not only that water ride but also a other dark ride for the park. Unlikely admittingly though certainly would be a step up for them.

Not sure if this has been asked before, but on Splash Lagoon is it a slight design flaw that boats going round can be soaked by ones coming down the drop? We visited today and the missus and the boy had this happen to them (easily the wettest they have got on that ride), and for some reason it seemed that it was happened quite a lot while we were watching (probably around 75% of the time). I'm sure raging river ride had covers so this didn't happen.
