Wildest memories from the COVID-19 pandemic period?

I know this isn't exactly a memory. It's a lasting affect of the Corona.

I saw on the news this morning that some olde time disease's are on the rise. You know diseases that was under control because of vaccinations down the years.

Not really a memory, but does anyone feel like there's a massive lurgy going around at the moment? I've been really rough for about 4 days now. Low energy, nose hasn't stopped running, headaches, sore throat and tickly cough and sneezing. My mom has been the same. Customers at work coughing up their lungs. Multiple people at work have phoned in sick with it. Na? Probably just me.

Tis the season:

"This is normal, it's autumn after all," says Prof Jonathan Ball, from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.

He says the levels of illnesses at the moment are not particularly high.

Cold, flu, Covid: Why is everyone sick right now? https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c1jz608l9l4o

It doesn't help that huge numbers of people previously considered "medium risk" are no longer being offered Covid vaccinations as of this year. Now the jab is only available to over 75s, people living in care homes and those that are severely immunocompromised. The argument is that Covid is less severe an illness than it used to be. The reason is obviously cost saving.

Had a nasty cough for about 3/4 weeks recently. Finally easing off but was an absolute ******, presuming nothing untoward just couldn't shift it (plus everyone in house had it for a bit, so putting it down to nursery flu).

Yesterday felt a bit off but I'm putting that down to wild changes in temperature between office, workshop and outside.

Problem is nowadays many cannot afford to take time off work so go in regardless of their being ill or not. Hence stuff just goes round.
