The matinee has always had enough stuff to pass an hour.

Every day I’ve been on park this season they’ve had a “barker” advertising the Matinee. I’m sure if they add it to the maps and put a nice poster outside they’ll do fine - if they go one step further and add a meet and greet with Alice I’m sure it will work for them

Back when the main ticket option was ticket sheets in the early 2000s, one of the tickets was for free admission to the matinee show either Hot Ice or the magic show in the Horseshoe. We saw the magic show and it was a great part of the day. Feels like another part of the experience removed by the pay-one-price entry model ruined.

Ticket sheets would make the whole park experience so much better again...cut out all those massive queues.

Too long for kids to remain interested. And far too long for me to remain interested.

I would rather have a 50 minute sit down in Crevettes

Components of Aviktas arrived on site yesterday, with a few lorries. I wouldn't be surprised if we see assembly a bit earlier than expected, but I know flat rides don't usually take long to erect

Just to continue the constant round of cuts...
Revolution has been pulled for the rest of the season.
Add it to the Streak, SkyFarce and the River Caves, and I think we have more main rides closed (temporary or permanent) than rides open since the millennium.
Half a park, simple as that.

But at least Hot Ice is coming back...

Didn't see the catering units around the fountain open yesterday. Unsure if that's a cut to save dosh, or if its construction-related. I'll hazard a guess, both.

Believe Revolution is having some extended winter maintenance better to do it now while its quiet than at the start of the season

They have Monday to Friday every week this month, then all of January and February for that.
It is cost cutting and nothing else, the park is more than half closed for the season, with a poor forecast for the rest of the season.

Anyone here do the old Virginia Reel it closed in 1982 so some of you would have been around when it operated

I still weep.
Fantastic ride, sort of wild mouse waltzer cross.
It died with my childhood...saw it being pulled from the entrance.
