Legoland Windsor

Got our one shot fast passes at Legoland at the weekend (the ones you get for being premium passholder now) and tried to use them on Ninjago, but of course, there was no member of staff at the merge point and no-one would let us in. Ended up going through the door that wheelchair users use and explaining to the member of staff what was going on, they let us straight on but we have had this issue in the past with this when using RAP because it is so awkward trying to merge your way into the queue without a staff member there.

Getting the one shots is a bit of a faf mainly for the member of staff as they have to type in all of the details of each annual pass into a spreadsheet, and then they have to write the pass numbers onto the one shot passes before giving them to you. All takes a bit if time, but I suppose the time saved queuing for the ride is greater.

Popped in for a few hours today and the park was full of dogs!

I can report they were all well behaved, very cute and no children were seen screaming in terror or attempting play doh modelling with faeces.
Can confirm. We couldn't resist so we were their with our dogs.
Will upload pictures when I can.

Had a chat with one of the ride hosts. Apparently their weren't too many people with dogs the first few weekends but it picked up today.
Makes sense to me as it wasn't initially well advertised. I've been suggesting they do it for years but I didn't even find out they were actually doing it until after the first weekend. And of course this week they talked about it on the Christmas at Legoland TV show.

Does anyone know what they are doing with the construction area by the log flume? Previously panning for gold I believe - will it just be an update of that?

We went to the 4D cinema for the first time yesterday. I was pleased it was warmer than outside but most put out there were no comfortable seats! I’m assuming the 4D cinema planning they’ve asked for will include moving seats? It felt very old school.

I always wondered why they did mythica instead of lego movie world because they were to have the same rides (flying theatre, two drop towers, squid surfer, play tower)

As has been mentioned elsewhere Legoland parks worldwide have scrapped Reserve and Ride and replaced it with Fastrack.

The Windsor website has been updated today and there are 3 packages. They all give access to up to 30 rides but limit the amount of use.

The cheapest package is £15 and you can pick 3 out of the 30 rides - it includes the key headline rides such as Skylion, Dragon, Minifigure Speedway etc.

This feels waaaay too cheap and as there are no timeslots those popular rides are going to be overrun with fastrack surely?

Compare it to Towers where £35 gets you a go on Spinball, Curse, Hex and the Rapids it’s night and day in terms of cost vs ride popularity.

I can only assume this is being done in an attempt to reduce operational costs of the system but giving up control over how many people are using FT on each ride could cause real issues as ride capacity is very low on a number of rides at LLW. At Towers they can somewhat manage this by offering packages covering specific rides to spread out demand but all the LLW packages seem to let you go on whatever you want. It's obviously not going to work if everyone tries to use it on Sky Lion but rides like Ninjago, Pirate Falls, Coastguard HQ, Laser Raiders and Hydra's Challenge are all likely to be major issues if they can't limit the numbers.

In terms of pricing, it's worth noting that the word "from" is doing a lot of work here. Currently bronze costs up to £36 on some days with gold going as high as £145, which is more in line with the prices other Merlin parks are charging.
