Rollercoasters where the best bit is at the end?

Typically many rollercoasters peak early on due to the logistics of their layout.... the biggest drop comes first and so on.

But what rides can you think of where the best section is later on or even at the end?

The Flying Dutchman at Efteling is one that springs to mind for me, as you have a lengthy dark ride section before the coaster bit even begins and then the main drop into the water is the finale.

Taron isn't quite at the end but certainly the midway launch is the highlight for me.

Falcon's Flight sounds like it would qualify but haven't been on it.

Does Journey to the Centre of the Earth at Disney Sea qualify as a coaster? That has a great finale.

No, it’s a dark ride with a fast bit!

The Big One’s final dive under the tunnel and into the brakes finishes the ride on a high, offering a diversion from the parabolic tedium of the minute or so that precedes it, while not sacrificing an inch of pure jankiness.

Talking of janky, Blue Fire’s madhouse of a barrel roll is the best moment after its initial launch.

How about shuttle coasters that repeat the course backwards?
... If you like going backwards, of course.

Strongly disagree on this one, the dark ride is by far the best portion of the DvH - the actual coaster part is pretty bad.

I'd put EuroMir in the category of coasters that leave the best part until the very end. The final few turns through the towers are somewhat reminiscent of the final section of Knightmare. Europa has an unusually large number of coasters that fit the bill - Blue Fire has already rightfully been mentioned but Silver Star and Wodan both have excellent final acts as well.

I’d argue that VelociCoaster is a solid candidate. That whole second half (and to be honest, the whole ride) is sublime, but that mosasaurus roll right at the end is absolutely one of the ride’s standout moments alongside the second launch and top hat sequence for me! That roll is absolutely the best inversion I’ve ever experienced; the amount of negative g-forces and the speed are absolutely wild, but it’s also very smooth at the same time!

I'll say Nemesis. I've always had a theory that it's so revered partly because the biggest/fastest bit is on the third quarter. It can seem a bit unnatural if the biggest drop is the very last one, but it seems just right if you can get it somewhat in the middle.

Mamba, Steel Force, Wild Thing, Steel Dragon 2000 final airtime Hills fit this definition.

Also Fujiyama is another one where the final section is nuts

I came to make the same joke, but about RTH
Sorry @Alix but

Shocked that the Blue Fire final inversion has only had a single mention, that’s the standout for me.

Sticking with Europa Park and on Silver Star I genuinely think the drop off the mid course is the best bit of the ride, albeit it isn’t right at the end.

A little different to the other mentions, but I've got to go for Winjas (both sides).
The trick tracks at the final blocks that seesaw/tilt then the bounce track right at the end slap. It's a shame that Maurer didn't seem to replicate it again.

Does Journey to Atlantis at Sea World count the same as the Flying Dutchman? It's very much dark ride until you get towards the end and the siren gets annoyed at you and sends you on the rollercoaster ride bit to the big drop.
