I am with you there, just screams laziness. Especially when something smaller than a single line of code could tailor that for each customer of which names they already have on record with their email address' in that context it comes across as incredibly rude and lazy.

These discounts, a second season without any new major attraction, they need something to try pull the punters in I guess.
Sorry I do not mean to be negative, it isn't bad, but I would hardly call this as 'going out with the deals'.
