The Alton Towers Gardens

I know very little about the gardens, and, shamefully, as an Alton geek I have only wandered around them once or twice. Always good seeing areas I've never seen and learning more about the place, great video!

I wish Alton Towers would lean more into the heritage side and offer walking trails/signage/audio guides around the gardens.
Thanks James, I appreciate the feedback and I'm glad you found it interesting. Let's hope that someone comes along eventually and realizes the potential of the historic estate and makes the most of it. If you (or anyone) get the urge to view any more stuff about the gardens and grounds there is a gardens and grounds section on the same AltonTowersMemories channel.

There is also another general history of the gardens video I did on a different channel here:

Your Adam and not Barry? Feels wrong 😂
I do enjoy videos focusing on the gardens as I've only really explored a few parts myself, and with my limited visits I don't get much time to do so myself.

There's absolutely nothing stopping anyone from making an audio guide app for the Towers gardens, if they wanted to independently. With agentic development it's also incredibly easy to get off the ground. You just need someone knowledgeable enough about the heritage to be interested to write the content.

Interesting idea for the future, perhaps, but I've also been day drinking... So everything is good idea right now.

As always, cracking video. Grabbed my coffee and cake and sat in my comfy chair and really enjoyed watching it. Looking forward to the next video.
I second this, I really enjoyed the video @BarryZola . Thanks for making it!

Am I right in thinking the slightly less dense forest area looking back to the banked turns of Rita used to be where Boneshaker was situated? I’m sure the ride was roughly located behind the entrance to where Thirteen is now. Can’t quite remember - I can’t believe it’s been over 20 years since that ride left the park.

I remember it as being down around where the entrance to Thirteen is, roughly. Could have my bearings slightly out though. And, thanks, glad you enjoyed the vid!
