I see http://www.ridetimes.co.uk has been unnecessarily updated to feature all the CBeebies Land rides...

Though it will be interesting to see how busy these rides get.

I have a couple of issues with this update though:
1. The addition of these new rides upsets the nice short list we were used to, and I'd rather see them in their own area of the site for just CBeebies Land.
2. I now have to scroll out of my default browser size to be able to see the whole list.

They must be experimenting with what to title Charlie and Lola on ridetimes. :p

It does look pretty messy! Moreso with the CBeebies attractions mixed in with attractions in other areas. May be easier if they find a way of having all the CBeebies attractions listed together then the other park attractions listed underneath.

Oh god! Way to mess up the nice idea that was ridetimes! ::) It's now a massive long list on my phone which makes it harder to find the ride you are looking for.

:)

I'm sure it will be great for all the families which are visiting to see how busy the ride suitable for them are. It's just as important to display the kids rides as it is the big coasters.

When the park is open the rides are ordered by their length of queue, so the order will make more sense then.

I'm sure you'll all be able to handle a little bit of scrolling...

The CBeebies audio sounds great, so fresh in comparison with the old Farm music (which was annoying after the 20 second loop had repeated more than twice).
The old farm music was nearly 20 minutes long?

Personally i think all the rides should be on it, just tab them into groups for navigation.

Groups would be better. Having a really long list is bad as it just looks messy and scrolling should be avoided where possible. The best thing to do would be to break rides down into areas and then you open the area tab to see the queues for the relevant rides.

:)

I think the issue with tabs and various other things is that the site is meant to be very easy to load even if you're out of wifi range and have bad signal.

Ideally they could have them in two boxes, as the scrolling doesn't bother me to be honest. I get the impression that it's being tweaked anyway.

I think the idea is all rides may eventually appear on it. Testing the water with Cbeebies though (and rightly so, these will probably get queues!)

They need to get the rides that don't have big queues on there.... When you look at a queue board you can be forgiven for thinking that all rides are 60min+ yet half the rides are almost walk on... It would help spread queues around the place.

They're apparently getting a new park wide system which does exactly that Dave.

Duel on a queue time board anyone? ;D

Yes i had heard this, but there is nothing stopping them adding something similar now.

As does Legoland Windsor's system, helps plan your day rather than AT boards which show only the coasters.

and why not add. ripsaw, the blade, skyride, monorail, hex, CATCF, heave ho, for good measure too. :D

I believe the current system on the dot matrix signs can only hold 12 rides as whenever a new ride gets added something else gets taken off. Hex, Battle Galleons and Squirrel Nutty have all been on there in the past but have since disappeared - back in 2008 every page featured Air and Battle Galleons (almost always 0 mins).

On top of that there are several other major issues with the system - there's not enough screens (only 3 since the one on Towers Street was removed), the ones they have don't always work and the times are hardly ever updated. As it stands the entire system is pretty much useless.

They need to start again with a similar system to Thorpe's - more rides and more rides per page meaning less waiting around to find the queue time you actually wanted to know. If they could just reprogram it so they didn't have to have Air on every page it would be a start - you could add 4 more rides without increasing the number of pages to scroll through.

It may have been but it was essentially just the same thing repeated over and over in a 20 minute track. That whistling was SO annoying! :p

As others have speculated, I would take the inclusion of CBeebies Land attractions on ridetimes to be a step towards this happening! I've wanted to see new queue boards for ages now, and the trial that they had at the end of Towers Street during last season was good, so hopefully we will see them replace the boards soon!

Now imagine that playing loudly by you whilst you're operating Tiny Truckers for several hours...
