Bank Holidays are usually quiet anywayPark has been pretty quiet today considering it's the bank holiday weekend. Most rides had short waits, walk on for Thirteen and Oblivion. Wicker Man and Smiler had the longest queues of the day (about 45 minutes).
Curiously though the hotels are only for residents only tonight? I've only known this on traveller weekends, but they're normally Easter and Scarefest. The staff at the hotel said it was residents only because of how busy the hotels are, which based on the park I find hard to believe.

wonder how busy the waterpark was? Maybe a busy day tomorrow if people did that todayJust found it bizarre that the hotels are apparently fully booked yet the park was so quiet.
The bank holiday Sunday (i.e. tomorrow) & Monday will be moderately busy. It will be Tuesday when Towers get it, as everyone avoids the bank holiday weekend and goes on the Tuesday as they think they are being clever and it will be empty. Wrong! Has always been the case for years.Bank Holidays are usually quiet anyway
I would suspect any "hotel residents only" in the hotels restriction to be more likely down to staffing. Recruitment in the hospitality sector is a nightmare now. Towers / Aramark will be paying the minimum wage, or very little more. Staff than have to take off tax / NI / transport costs etc. No doubt more jobs closer to home in the Stoke area that pay the same, but with fewer costs.
My employer is in the short break / hospitality business - recruitment for us is a nightmare too.
