Plopsaland Belgium: General Discussion

Slightly odd question. In another thread i was asking about theme parks open in late November. Anyway i realised Plopsa would probably be open for the date i was looking at, which it is but when i went to see accommodation prices i noticed it was fully booked, which seemed most unusual! So i contacted the park who replied quickly that it was booked out for the World Championship Dance competition. The park is otherwise open but now i'm wondering if this would in fact be an awful time to visit instead of an incredibly quiet off peak day?

The schedule doesn't have the actual event starting till Sunday November 30th but it's basically booked out for a 12 day period, which makes me think there is so little accommodation in De Panne that they're using it for that rather than people entering the theme park.

I've found a link from when they did it in 2023 too and seems they used the parks theatre for the event! The plot thickens...

I dunno, often times events like this basically mean the actual park is dead because 90% of attendees are there for said event and aren't allowed to roam about much.

Yeah it’s hard to tell. The fact it’s booked prior to the event suggests people would be there setting up rather than coaster riding.

The crowd calendar for the same event in 2023 has the park as dead except for the weekend which was moderately busy, though admittedly far more crowded than any other weekend in that period.

The changing face of Plopsaland! Funny they have included the crane. Also why is the area by Anubis going too? I can't get my bearings on where the Flying Theatre and restaurant will be located (obviously they aren't including them yet).

Looks like the building vanishing is the huge pirate themed restaurant (that like most at Plopsa never seemed to be open).

The flying theatre is going on the entrance plaza. So essentially where the train station currently sits.

Plopsaland have a new app which is a notable improvement on the old one. You can use it to purchase Express Passes, food etc plus it has an English language option unlike the previous iteration. Queue times seem potentially more accurate too (i'm not on site but the old one tended to say everything was 5 minutes most of the time).

Looking at the map again, it's now quite a trek to Anubis and SuperSplash. I wonder if the direct path and/or train station will be restored when the Flying Theatre opens. I hope that ride has a good throughput too, the location as the main attraction shortly after the entrance could lead to some major queues. My comparative experience at Legoland does not leave me feeling optimistic.

We should get some news from the Expo next week either way, will be nice if it's open by next summer. They appear to be cracking on with the... destruction:

Same ride system as Voletarium no?

So probably deal with it as well as that does first thing in the day.

Is it due to open next year or 2027?

I thought it was the same as what Seaworld built this year- which was from Mack rides and different to Voletarium. I might be wrong however. That hasn’t had the best reviews though with limited movement on the ride system.
