Strange Rides

Thoughts:
  • The conveyer belts to get people to the top feels like the first idea they came up with late one night.
  • Wow it's filthy
  • This is getting to alpine coaster speeds at parts
  • It's all filthy, there's zero point in it being made of glass
  • I have every confidence that they thoroughly inspect the 2 mile course of algae covered glass for defects at a reasonable frequency
  • The bootleg screamin' swing looked fun!

Add that you are actually strictly required to wear a poncho on the ride as it's fed by river water!

Looks like good fun. You'd probably get some idiots failing to go around the loop loads of times on purpose so they'd have to have something where if you failed to get around a few times it boosted you around automatically, or something. Looks enjoyable though if it lets you go fast.

It’s unique, but I can imagine it might be a throughput nightmare if abused (e.g. someone just keeps stalling intentionally)!

I’m not sure I see many parks going for this.

It's like they're trying to have bad ideas.

If one of these is ever built, it will be on a cruise ship "First inversion/loop at sea" etc... somewhere that throughput matters little and profit on pay-per-ride matters lots.
