Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2026 Discussion

Ant & Dec were apparently on Icon earlier this week, and all will allegedly be revealed on Britain’s Got Talent later tonight

(I won't be watching, though, so if anything interesting or relevant happens on the show then please report it here!)

On a sidenote: I didn't realise that the front seats were lower down than the rest of the train

YES! Just what the UK's single mothers and broken families were asking for - Ant and Dec on a rollercoaster! I have GOT to see this!

They aren't the only ones.
Front seats of each twin car are lower than the rear, all down the train.
Was it always that way, or was it changed afterwards (or only on certain trains)?

Maybe I'm wrong, but photos on Google seem to show that the seats were once all (mostly) at the same height (other than a minor step difference of a few inches)? (see below)

Looking at the Ant and Dec photo again, it seems that the row behind them is quite low down as well, so it must be the entire car (row 3 and behind are much higher up).

Always that way.
As I already said, front seats on each car are slightly lower than the rear, repeated down the train.
Not the entire car.

In that case, I don't understand why the front two rows in the Ant and Dec photo are so low down

I wonder if it's part of a gag where they roll off by themselves (hopefully never to return! just kidding)

They're the same height as the other odd numbered rows on the train. Camera can make things look odd, especially as the ones behind are restraints up so look taller.

Went to Pleasure beach on Saturday, was decently busy but with a decent amount of rides closed due to wind (big one, flying machines), broken for most of the day (avalanche, ghost train), closed (river caves, Red Arrow, Valhalla, Grand National) or on one train (Avalanche, Big Dipper), the queues for what was open were decently long. At least steeplechase had all 3 tracks open!

Did the £5 enso, the queue for this was nearly filling up the queue inside, though since nearly everyone wants to go on by themselves the queue takes forever. It seems they were releasing the tickets to this in batches throughout the day (every half hour or hour?)

Wallace and Gromit had a few changes with the added gnomes, but not too much.

Did see Aviktas testing in the morning, with a cherry picker reaching to the top later in the day. Looks like it will be a fun ride when it opens!

Blackpool should aim to regularly price Enso at £5 or under IMO, as it is usually empty whenever I go (admittedly, I have only been to Blackpool once since Enso opened)

I'm guessing (and this is just a guess) that Blackpool intentionally price it high because there isn't a proper queueing area for it and so if too many people wanted it then the queue would back up into the Big Dipper staircase area?

Also: as the capacity is terrible (only 2 seats per 3 trains), it might lose the premium feel of an uncharge attraction if the queue times were too long?

Maybe they could charge £5 on a quiet weekday, and £15 on a weekend or peak day?
