Even Talocan makes some interesting noises at times, covered partly by the music. I very much doubt it's all neglect.

It was making those noises during testing. You can hardly blame the lack of maintenance on something right out the box.

Toxy's fountains have been covered up by themed sheets, suggesting that they may not be coming back for a while.

This is ridiculous! They were off when I visited last June, and in September just running in ‘idle’ mode.

How hard is it to have working fountains?

Fountains don’t cost that much to run. Either they have decided that they wanted something to cover them when not in use (assume before May post September), or there is a technical reason for it.

If they where going to cut costs for a ride feature it would be the fire on Wickerman.

I mean it's not cost cutting per-se. No one will have looked at the fountains and decided "well we'll save X amount if we keep them off".

Why are Merlin so stupid? The fact that they cannot see how stuff like this makes a massive impact on their image. Are they the worst business ever

Curious to understand why you have concluded this is something Merlin have instigated?

Feels far more likely to be a local management issue/decision than something at group level.

Does anybody know why the splashdown was removed on Hyperia, and whether the water effects on Toxicator may have been removed for the same reason(s)? (e.g. rust, cost, etc)

Could well be H&S risks...stagnant water spray isn't that good for the respiratory system.

I was surprised that they recycled the same water, as I'd assumed that fresh water was regularly being pumped in
