What are you listening to?
I think I've listened to it enough times to get a decent opinion on it now. Obviously it's not the best song Muse have ever written- it doesn't really compare to many of the pre-Resistance songs- but it is a good song. Not great, but good. The thing is though, and more importantly, it's better...- Nick

What rides offer "a bit of everything"?
I think Oziris, at least in terms of inverted coasters, is the closest to offering everything. There's you're typical high G's in the inversions, but also great pops of airtime and floating sensations too.- Nick

Carowinds: General Discussion
Still, that helix about two thirds of the way through the layout looks appalling. The rest looks great though.- Nick

2017/18: SW8 Speculation
The more I think about it the more I think that it is really very obvious that the public don't think wooden coasters are unsafe. The reason why a woodie has not been built is because, as you said, they are thought to be old fashioned, but whose to say that Merlin even advertise a RMC as a...- Nick

2017/18: SW8 Speculation
Not necessarily, assuming that any launch will be fairly slow (both in terms of top speed and probably acceleration too).- Nick

The "I WANT THAT CREDIT!!" thread.
We all know the only true answer is Eagle's Fortress. Runner up is Atlantis Adventure, because who doesn't want the Aquatrax credit?- Nick

I wouldn't see a Mack launch coaster with Rita already at the park.- Nick

Carowinds: General Discussion
Maybe you're right, but I assumed that on a structure this size an especially large crane would have to be used for the higher points (one that would cost quite a lot to hire) whilst a smaller, cheaper crane could be used for the rest. I don't know though, maybe I'm just overthinking things a...- Nick

It's almost certainly for cost reasons- mainly due to construction and the need for cranes etc.- Nick

2016: Theme Park Developments
So you're telling me that you couldn't take a picture, even though you almost certainly had a phone on you? And are you also telling me that you had the time to write all that down, despite presumably under the careful, watching eye of the friend who works "high up at AT" who doesn't want to...- Nick

Six Flags New England: General Discussion
Nobody calls the Six Flags hybrids wooden, because they're not. Outlaw Run and Goliath, on the other hand, are.- Nick

Anticipated Albums 2015
Too much stuff to list, but mainly The Wrens, Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, Kendrick Lamar, Beach House and, of course, Muse as well. And who knows what else there'll be, with possibilities of Radiohead, Joanna Newsom and The Avalanches (well, maybe not the Avalanches) too.- Nick

Romon World- Maurer Söhne X Car 2013
POV of the Intamin: Hopefully the lift is running a bit slow, as it really crawled through the layout. Very impressive scenery though.- Nick
