Drayton Manor Park
You should do yes. But as an annual pass holder, you have already effectively paid for your wristband AND entry to the park. So what are they giving you? Your "free" wristband isn't free. You've already brought your pass. This is total crap if im honest.- DistortAMG

Is it over for MMM?
Reviving this thread to show this photo inside of Studios North...I didn't know where best to place this post. At first I thought they are making some of the scenery for Ugland here. The colour is what makes me doubt that. The rock appears to be in its final painted state, which is far too...- DistortAMG

Hex [2024 Refurb]: General Discussion
I love a good photo, here's a great one of the vault under construction back in 1999. The "rope" going through the eyes, is temporary, to hold the panel into place, until the surrounding panels have been put into place, which will help support this one. This photo was taken early on in the...- DistortAMG

Im curious to know why people seem to think any error now, as insensitive as this has to be AI. Humans have been making worse errors for far longer.- DistortAMG

Drayton Manor Park
Well that's a given, Hex is undisputedly one of the best madhouses in existence. I think they partially might not have known what to do, being the second one to open, within weeks of the first, this ride would have been developed at Drayton with no prior reference material, for what was a...- DistortAMG

Other attractions don't do it. Why didnt they include it in the intro video or have signs, rather than destroying the little immersion the ride has, again and again, usually shouted by some half arsed, underpaid and couldn't care less attitude member of staff. If they insist on doing it...- DistortAMG

Drayton Manor Park
I agree. I once aired this same opinion on the Drayton Talk forums. The response I got from some deluded person on there, was basically, 'how dare you speak negatively of Drayton Manor and hurt the feelings of people who have worked hard on the ride at the park." 😅 Thought i was in North Korea...- DistortAMG

Storm Force 10 used to be pretty decent capacity. It runs less than half the boats it opened with however.- DistortAMG

Monorail Refurbishment
Theme Park Worldwide are reporting on Facebook that vinyls are now being removed from the windows of Monorail trains. It looks like the strawberry train is first to have this treatment. This train is also now in service to guests.- DistortAMG

2025: General Discussion
Does this not in itself prove that outsourcing entertainment is not a bad thing, as has been repeated around here as if it were the apocalypse? Seeing as theme parks and brands with some of the best entertainment on the planet do it, I suspect a few opinions might change now the words 'Disney'...- DistortAMG

Drayton Manor Park
The re-theme of the river rapids consisted of lots of painted wood, some rope, and a few life rings—easily obtainable stuff. Yes, there were a few more 'bespoke' items, but not many. Plus, most of what is there with River Rapids was there before as Splash Canyon. Making the project even easier...- DistortAMG

Drayton Manor Park
It would be new for them, and I don't think their theming of all the new attractions since taking over the park fills me with much confidence that they could do it justice. Lots of painted wood and some off-the-shelf props anyone can buy seem to be the bulk of their theming for everything since...- DistortAMG

Ride Availability/Operations 2022-25
Correct me if I am wrong but I thought that was the earliest you could send the next train without it block stopping on the lift, so not really the dispatch interval. You could still send it quicker than that.- DistortAMG

This looks great. I know this is only a concept image, but if they were to be believed, there is clearly lots of room designed for expansion, based on the general 'thinness' in physical sizes of some of the spaces. Roll on the dark rides. I would love to see a substantial water ride; I know...- DistortAMG

The same could have potentially been said for the Skyride a few years ago, I think, hence why it fell into the state it did. But that was arguably the bigger priority because the ride had major problems that would have prevented it from opening for long. So "I think" that would have taken...- DistortAMG
