Oblivion: General Discussion
To go back to this as I have only just seen it. The angle it changes and more specifically the radius of that angle is very tight on Oblivion, to specifically take you from horizontal to vertical in a tiny amount of space. Even today in 2025, you could not have a long train on track like...- DistortAMG

Drayton Manor Park
I would take a guess it would involve something with Water World, seeing as Looping Group are now the owners.- DistortAMG

[2026] Bluey Coaster in CBeebies Land
I would argue that we pioneered innovative ride hardware more than we pioneered the 'theme park', which was in essence just copying what the USA had done 3 decades earlier, but adapted for the UK market. The ride hardware that we helped pioneer in partnership with Europe, was not specific to the...- DistortAMG

Fireworks 2025
The location that for 35 plus years they have been launching multiple shows per year from, without any major incident, would say otherwise. They themselves are professionals, as are the companies they hire. They know very well what they are doing.- DistortAMG

What New things will come to Towers in 2026
We MIGHT and I strictly say MIGHT, get a new doormat within the entrance to Coffee Corner. Speculation is ripe online at the moment. Specifically over the colour and material. Exciting times for sure. I will be there at the turnstiles opening day at 6am, queuing, to be the first member of public...- DistortAMG

Nemesis Reborn: General Discussion
But this speed doesn't seem to be normal speed and then slow. It seems to be 'normal' speed, as in the speed that the lift used to go at before, then faster, once the whole train is engaged on the lift. So the speeds seem to operate in the opposite way than before if that makes sense. I wonder...- DistortAMG

Nemesis Reborn: General Discussion
I am surprised I never saw it mentioned (unless I missed it) the fact that the new Nemesis speeds up once fully engaged onto the lift, something the old one did not do. I wonder if that has an affect on people's perceived rides.- DistortAMG

Skyride General Discussion
If they really wanted, this could be adjusted. However, I think they have balanced the speed between being able to enjoy the stunning views and it being a mode of transport.- DistortAMG

Future of the Congo River Rapids
This is an intereresting discussion actually. Totally agree with you there though mate, in this specific case though, I genuinely believe this was not communicated previously by the park. Partially because of what I think was a lack of understanding of the perceived risks that certain things...- DistortAMG

Future of the Congo River Rapids
One moment, enthusiast I am yes. I have previously worked in the industry as an engineer and general park staff before that, over nearly a decade. I have also worked on Intamin Rapids Rides as an engineer, ride host and operator. First point to address, I never once claimed that Alton Towers...- DistortAMG

Future of the Congo River Rapids
I can understand why they would remove the hose pipes after the Drayton incident. I never understood the 3 wavemakers though. They were specifically highlighted in the HSE report that these could encourage guests to stand, but that was specifically because the wavemaker lake on Drayton's rapids...- DistortAMG

Future of the Congo River Rapids
A log. The community was calling that wave the KFC mega wave way before TPWW existed. The wave machines as they are generally called, are specifically the ones that are know as 'wave makers' by Intamin. Congo has 3, in the 3 lake sections along rides course. These differ from the 'rapids' which...- DistortAMG

Future of the Congo River Rapids
The camera has something maybe, but I would most argue it is just how society is today in 2025. People do not want to share experiences like that anymore with strangers.,- DistortAMG

Sorry yes 2003, not 2005. So 22 years old, still a spring chicken. I was working at the park when this was introduced, the same season as Excalibur debuted.- DistortAMG

Celebrity Deaths 2025
I fully understand and appreciate that. They can de devastated, they have every right to be. Given the nature of his crimes, the population has every right to celebrate and celebrate vocally at the same time. It appears they are doing just that.
