Fireworks 2023 🎆
Wind doesn’t seem like it will be a huge issue in terms of speed but the direction may cause some issues as @Rob says. Wind speed forecasted on Saturday at the time of the fireworks are very low (6mph). However the Friday and Sunday are slightly higher at around 12-16mph. Which is similar to the...- Connor98

[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation
The thing is, it probably will. But could easily suffer the same fate as wicker man! Aging theming and neglect of effects. Let’s hope things change after this but looking at the presentation of certain attractions in the park it makes it hard for me to have any confidence in this.- Connor98

Ride Availability/Operations 2022-25
Im very far from an expert in this and it is definitely beyond their control in the current circumstances but do people think it’s beyond the realms of possibility that a places that calls themselves “Britain’s greatest escape” have a stronger backup plan for situations like this. However when...- Connor98

Ride Availability/Operations 2022-25
Maybe I’m missing something but it seems towers struggle with this issue quite a lot in recent history. Does anyone have any idea wether they fall victim to it more than other UK and European parks? They are in a very secluded location so that might explain it but surely mitigating measures...- Connor98

[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation
Would be the perfect opportunity to do an anonymous style hacker video with a dialogue of exposing the phalanx. If I was them I would do it after every show! Get as many people talking as possible.- Connor98

Ride Availability/Operations 2022-25
I agree they need to reintroduce them. It not only helps out the single riders but also the main queue lines. And seeing full trains being sent helps keep people happy that the park are doing all they can capacity wise, nothing worse than standing in a long oblivion line watching empty seat...- Connor98

Fireworks 2023 🎆
All tickets are non refundable according to Terms and Conditions unfortunately. Maybe it’s still worth an email or message but I doubt they will be able to do anything in reality.- Connor98

General Queue Times Discussion 2023
Agreed. Some seem to think the reintroduction of Nemesis next year will suddenly make things a lot better but in reality it’s the loss and lack of investment of attractions such as Cinemas, show venues and also sit down dining options that leads to people spending all day doing just rides...- Connor98

[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation
Wasn’t on Tuesday, and no track pieces in storage. The area was pretty quiet the two times we had a look.- Connor98

Autism the thread
Out of interest, what is it that people find wrong about the puzzle icon? I’m curious as it’s something I know quite little about.- Connor98

Wicker Man - General Discussion
Wouldn’t surprise me if they will only use them during late opening dates now. It’s not an overly noticeable effect for most guests when in the day, however it looks absolutely stunning at night and really illuminates the whole area! Nothing like walking towards the plaza hearing the trains roar...- Connor98

[2024] Nemesis Reborn: Construction and Speculation
Could be wrong but to me that big hole in the station might be for some sort of theming feature rather than changing the exit location. Just love the idea of two big animated eyes looking into/out of the station. if a Nemesis has two eyes that is 🤔- Connor98

My trip around the world
Thanks mate! But that’s my worry 😂 maybe I’ll pop into Poland on my travels. In all seriousness I’ve not even thought about tagging any parks into my trip, mainly due to budget reasons but also I think I’d fall back in love with the hobby more after a hiatus.- Connor98

My trip around the world
Thank you! I’m hoping to be able to do it all in one stretch, but it might be possible for me to do some remote work whilst I’m in certain countries, so I could possibly use those days to keep some sense or normality. Other than that apart from maybe a quick trip home for a week or so in...- Connor98

My trip around the world
Thank you! I know your only pulling my leg but this is all with my hard earned money I’ll have you know 😉 Thank you for your advice! Anything like this is much appreciated as a lot of this is very new to me. I have travelled a fair few times solo in Europe but not between countries so...- Connor98

My trip around the world
For the last years I’ve been longing to see the world, it’s culture, foods, smell and more. But in reality I’ve never had the finances and the guts to actually go do it…. Until now! I’m finally going to make the plunge and see what I am capable of out there along in the big wide world...- Connor98

Alton Towers Social Media
I’ve not really noticed any vast improvement since I last posted in this thread. I think what they are trying to do isn’t a bad idea, engagement and dictating algorithms mean a lot nowadays but they just aren’t really going about it the right way. Feels very disjointed between some of the usual...- Connor98

Dollywood: General Discussion
I would agree that it hasn’t really affected their name overall, they are still known for the fantastic thrill machines they build. But it definitely would have made parks think twice about asking them to quote on future launched coaster projects.- Connor98
