Phantasialand: General Discussion
I had assumed you'd ask, was more just sharing frustration that the barmen are so inflexible and the menu so poorly designed!- jon81uk

It won't be consistent all year though. Summer will be a bit busier, Halloween a lot busier and winter January February will be fairly quiet.- jon81uk

Could they not make it without the jelly sweets? Surely the cocktail doesn't require them to give the flavour, seems weird if they couldn't.- jon81uk

Phantasialand: General Discussion
I know a lot of foamy cocktails traditionally use egg white to make them foam, but to have an entire menu that uses it is weird, did they specify that egg/dairy was the reasons? Some places have switched to vegan foamers (I've seen this one in the US...- jon81uk

I think if she genuinely did think the threat of a new entrant to the UK is an issue to her constituents she could raise concerns without looking like a luddite - "While I welcome the governments support of Universal opening in Bedfordshire, I would like to remind the Prime Minister of the 45...- jon81uk

Have any of these MPs voiced any concern in the past? I get your overall point that the timeframe for them to actually annul the legislation is poor, but there doesn't seem to be much evidence that any MP has any appetitle to reject the proposal? the MP for Bedford has published letters...- jon81uk

There has however been a significant amount of support for the project from local councillors. Yes the planning permission stage is removed, but has there been a single statement from any councillor against the overall project?- jon81uk

What year has Alton been at its best
Although I think Stealth wasn’t as overwhelming as it could have been due to Rita opening a year or two earlier. Yes Stealth has the top hat height, but the speed and acceleration felt incremental over Rita rather than something truly new.- jon81uk

Planet Coaster 2: General Discussion
and I thought I found a good price with the deluxe edition at £29.99 from Loaded (CD Keys) a few weeks ago. Only for me to get busy and not actually start playing as planned! The deluxe edition includes the vintage rides pack, so in this Steam offer its £27.98 if you get that as seperate DLC...- jon81uk

Christmas/Winter 2025
Exactly. If Trentam Gardens offer a fantastic light walk then why try and compete with it. AT tried a few other ideas coming out of the pandemic but it didn't work for them, so stick to what you do well, theme park rides, shows and Santa.- jon81uk

Neither Apple or Netflix are significantly relasing theatrically, generally its only for a week or two so it is eligible for the awards. Yes F1 the movie had a larger release window but there hasn't been many other similar examples. Netflix are not interested in purchasing the linear TV from...- jon81uk

What year has Alton been at its best
I didn't really think Thorpe would overtake overall, but really felt like Tussauds were investing heavily in thrill rides there, between Colossus, Nemesis Inferno and the five or so flat rides they added in the early 2000s. It was definitely an exciting time for thrill rides and I would say...- jon81uk

What do you think should go in Nickelodeon Outta Control’s building
Best overall would be to knock these down and build something new as well as a new building where Horizon was planned. Replace the previous attractions like the show and add something else and a new indoor coaster (Horizon). Not all in one season of course- jon81uk

Which ‘worst’ era of Alton Towers do you think is better than the other?
My memory is the same, the issue was the ride operators would need to walk up the spiral lift hill to release the restraint and then walk all the guests off the ride safely and out the building and it was seen that would take too long and the building (tent) will be full of smoke if there is a...- jon81uk

2025: General Discussion
I think Aramark run most of the unbranded food still like VIBES bar, the kebab stand, pizza buffet, Mexican, fish and chips etc. Pineapple Catering run kiosks like the chocolate fountain stand and other similar smaller things. The big difference at Thorpe is they still have KFC & Burger King so...- jon81uk

What year has Alton been at its best
I think yes the addition of Air was great, unfortunately my memories of 2002 are tainted by a long wait in the rain to see if Air could actually work and then on our subsequent visits it not always being able to rise up to the prone position until guests were moved around to redistribute weight...- jon81uk

What year has Alton been at its best
Maybe 2008 I think. Mutiny Bay had just opened, Ritas Chicken & Ribs was still decent, there was a decent selection of shows and rides across the park and Extraordinary Golf was only a year old. Just felt like a nice time with positive changes but it was the last season for Pizza Hut Express...- jon81uk
