[2026] Bluey Coaster in CBeebies Land
Taken from Alton Towers Facebook page...I assume these are the trains? Or part of them, such as the lead car on the front. I wonder if they will have truck like cars for the whole train or just the front one with a roof and whatnot. There was not much of a description with the photo, just...- DistortAMG

2026: General Discussion
Nets and scaffolding, its all the rage these days!! I know there is an element of sarcasm in your post but I feel compelled to point out that the netting is not theming. It is designed to stop loose articles that fall from the ride, hitting people on the ground.- DistortAMG

It seems like the routine winter maintenance has extended to the netting around Rita too. This may have been posted but I couldn't see it. For those who don't use Facebook, Coastal Nets Ltd posted the following. "Another big job completed in tough conditions. Not easy fitting this in freezing...- DistortAMG

In The Night Garden Boat Ride
But why do the rides all need to be crammed together? Having rides that 'take you out' so to speak of the hustle and bustle of the park are great for escapism. This boat ride is great at and always has been great at doing exactly that. Besides, Alton Towers is massive, I get the fact that this...- DistortAMG

Drayton Manor Park
To me, 'Hey passholder' reads exactly the same as, "Oi, moneybags, giz us yer dosh'. They do not care what your name is and are too lazy to even pretend to care by making the email personalised, all they are interested in is emptying your wallet, with the least amount of effort their end...- DistortAMG

Drayton Manor Park
I am with you there, just screams laziness. Especially when something smaller than a single line of code could tailor that for each customer, of which names they already have on record with their email address' in that context it comes across as incredibly rude and lazy. These discounts, a...- DistortAMG

Planet Coaster 2: General Discussion
I have seen a really good force vector design tool mod for PC2 also, I just cannot remember the name. It makes building coasters to the required forces at any given point, MUCH easier, this is what NL2 uses. It is great at building perfectly smooth coasters too, because you are literally...- DistortAMG

[2026] Bluey Coaster in CBeebies Land
Around these parts, the word bluey has always been slang for a five pound note, given it's colour. So every time I read this topic title, it reads in my head as "five pound coaster in CBeebies Land".- DistortAMG

Redevelopment of Katanga Canyon
Totally agree, the Rideas days....wow that is going back, the logo with the coloured circles is still engrained into my memory! Given we know Alton / Tussauds / Merlin have planned something at least once in the now quite distance past and the fact it is the oldest area in the park now (I...- DistortAMG

Redevelopment of Katanga Canyon
In one way, it is sort of a shame if this area was re developed, yes the hardware is aging, yes there are better things out there, but I think in one way, age has been kind to KC, it has allowed it, in some ways, to fulfil it's potential as an African village / Jungle. Last August, the place...- DistortAMG

Some of the salaries appear to be pretty poor too, specifically for the leadership roles. Considering the location, you must really want to work at Alton Towers or, really make heavy use of a family or multiple Merlin passes of some description, to find some of those pay packages attractive.- DistortAMG

The Generative AI Thread
The biggest thing the completely flawed online safety act has done, is funnel large amounts of cash into VPN companies with questionable ethics and moral standpoints. The number being funnelled into these companies will rise too over time. It is crazy to think, the biggest achievement of the...- DistortAMG

The Morality and Politics Surrounding Visiting Specific Theme Parks
If you cannot understand the difference between identifying as something versus using an animal as an example of conveying a way of thinking, two massively different things, then don't worry, Ive already left, I left the door open for you on the way out.- DistortAMG

I will comment properly later on both yours and @Plastic Persons replies. Long night shift last night, time for rest. 🙂 Before I go, yes, I will not let any political regime get in the way of me enjoying things, enjoying life itself. Why should I? Why should anyone infact? The Morality and Politics Surrounding Visiting Specific Theme Parks
As a 'developed' nation, the perogative being put forward here is quite stunning really, given our history, specifically, recent history. It is convenient to forget that I guess? I do not agree with the regime of Saudi Arabia, or what it stands for. But, the general consensus seems like we are...- DistortAMG

Chessington World of Adventures Resort
We run trains, planes, cars and everything in between in what could be considered far worse hazardous conditions, granted, the reasons are more out of nessesity than for leisure, but the fact remains we (as humans) regularly run, much more hazardous machines in far more hazardous conditions...- DistortAMG

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2025 Discussion
I cannot see the fact they are opening at 11am being a problem. Removing the free entry completely killed off any impulse entry passing trade, most if not all people visiting now pre book, meaning if they are going to visit, they are going to visit, regardless of the park opening an hour later...- DistortAMG
