Hahaha I was on the car ready to go up when it broke down, my mate was having a right panic about going on it so lucky escape for him, seemed to be a sensor issue, they climbed up the hill and pressed the buttons Sutton no good. I did wonder how they would get people off the car that was on the break runOblivion went down around half 3 / 4 ish yesterday I think. When we went to ride it people were being evacuated from the break run and it was down for the rest of the day with engineers looking like they were working on the break run.

From what I saw I think they just released their harness and walked them down the break run. No idea what the issue was but when we saw it was down we went and rode the smiler for a bit. About an hour later we looked again and they were still working on the break run with the ride still closed.
The Smiler went down this morning for long enough for it to be closed.
I'm sure that they've used images and information before regarding ride closures and the smiler. Not enough power during the launch and rolled back from the first hill most likely. Regarding the press nicking the images, they'd have to ask permission first, which I'm sure TS won't give, but it will ultimately be Graeme's decision.
Update: The train is now back in the station.
