They dont seem to be having luck with the AV on park this season. Numereous speakers squelching and screens out of action. hopefully whatever AV they put in for SW8 is good and gets maintained

Do you guys think we should expect any sort of new info any time soon, like some stats or even a full reveal? I thought Episode 2 was coming out today, but obviously not. I personally think, judging by past UK Merlin announcement trends, that we won't see a full name and theme reveal until either the 15th or the 22nd January 2018, because The Smiler was revealed on the 21st January 2013 and Derren Brown's Ghost Train was revealed on the 18th January 2016. However, the approach to marketing has generally been very different with SW8, so we could see an earlier reveal.
 
I still don't get why the snack stand is being built - I have never seen one open, I went to thorpe last Thursday and it was boiling and they still didnt have the queue snack stands open..

I am less excited about SW8 than I was SW7 but then I wasn't on here for SW7 so didn't know anything until the ads came on.. Still I think itll be a decent ride but before SW9 comes around I think investment in smaller rides is needed to provide a bit of filler.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they left it untill a week or so.
