But that then creates an issue where you have a 60 minute main queue and 60 minute SRQ, and then they'd probably need to staff it because I'm not sure having that many single riders queueing up those stairs would work/be ideal.Terrible, elitist idea.
If a park is offering a queueing option, it should be made aware to everyone. Not just those who go out of their way to find it.
The idea of offering an SRQ should be to give people more choice, not to reward people for hunting out extra information. It should be signposted, and signposted clearly.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but in an interesting move, it seems that Nina's Science Lab has been removed from CBeebies Land in order to build a new sensory area:
I wonder why they removed this attraction in particular, as I thought they already had a sensory area on Towers Street? Should certainly be a nice move for those guests who need a calm space, though!

For all the stick, I give them when it's justified ,(Ice age 4D, Galactica, Stargazing pods etc), I still believe the Theme Park as as a whole represents fantastic value and is a world class experience. I thoroughly enjoy every second that I'm there. ( I think Matt N at least will agree with me). Probably no one else.
If they really do have a 15000 gate on the first day of the season, I'm really pleased. A profitable theme park is a theme park worth investing in to get the gate up further.
I love AT, and I hope that it's success will justify further Capex investment. Revenue investment would be great too,!

That is interesting, as they already have the Something Special Sensory Garden in CBeebies Land.

Oh well.
If you're going to run something, run it properly and staff it accordingly.
I'd rather have no SRQ than one that's not advertised or one that's poorly run.
Or they could open the other half of the fire door.Smiler SRQ enters the building via the fire exit fastrack used last year, it's fully fenced off from main Q. Someone sufficiently determined might still jump over I guess.

Noticed a few “couples” single riders on smiler being let on together today so they could sit together

Really? You'd really rather have to queue 70 minutes (or whatever the queue time is) whilst watching empty seats go round than have a single rider queue to use? How is that better?Oh well.

Because if it's poorly run it's pointless.Really? You'd really rather have to queue 70 minutes (or whatever the queue time is) whilst watching empty seats go round than have a single rider queue to use? How is that better?

In my opinion, that's OK if it just turns out that they were lucky as no-one anywhere near the front of the queue was a pair and there were 2 empty seats going next to each other. Got no problem with that at all.
However, if a ride-host has let them on together when there was a suitable pair waiting in the normal queue anywhere near the front then the host needs more training or needs to grow a pair. Anyone using the single rider queue as a pair and then badgering the ride-host to let them on together should be ejected from the ride area, or shot. Preferably the latter. The system is absolutely fine, it's poor implementation of it that causes any problems.

The problem is defining how near is near enough. If there are 2 free seats and no groups of 2 near enough in the queue line then it's fine for 2 SRQs to sit next to each other.

If the host shouts and can't find a group of two.The problem is defining how near is near enough.

I'll say this. I was a single rider when I visited fireworks last year. The queue was 2 hours so this was way too long for me. Therefore, this was the only major coaster I was unable to ride. If single rider line was there, I would have been able to ride.
Simply I don't get how you would rather SRQ to go

That's the logical answer however people aren't always logical when they see "some t*** queue jumping"If the host shouts and can't find a group of two.
