An absolute classic, hugely stupid and shambolic. I would love to see them do more, it would suit an online short format, but I think they're on completely different paths now, career wise.

I don't like television, too much colours and movement, it's too busy for me. Sometimes there's people on it and you don't know whether they're on television or if they're in the room with you but they're just small.

If Walliams goes into disrepute, AT will just make it into another dark themed area.
The wonderful world of Walliams, Harris and Saville, or something similar.

It would be better if Walliams world had a separate name, like "Busy Town" or "Whoville". Something that unites that world as an independent brand. Walliams has missed a trick in not doing that himself, as he would sell more merchandise setup like that.

To be fair "Little Britain" would be the perfect name for the area. Shame that's got nothing to do with what he's now become and gone on to do.

World of David Walliams definitely doesn't appeal.

Isn't this IP a tie-in with his publishers who use the same title? Terms of the licence no doubt insist that title is used so I suspect Towers/Merlin's hands were somewhat tied when it came to naming it

I can see the former Ice age building been used again as a theatre with the shop next door selling his books.

What we thinking then in terms of hardware then? Dark ride, 4d cinema revamp and retheme to the driving school.

Actually wouldn't surprise me if the dark ride is just a walk through attraction to be honest such is the time scale on this project.

Maybe they will add a small family coaster in time too if the area does well.

Could we have the dancing fountains in a shed back please.
It was lovely for a ten minute rest in the shade.
Walliams soundtrack and a few character cutouts being rolled out from the wings would add extra thrills.

I think there is a fair chance they are still there anyway, it was said when they first converted it to a theatre they just built the stage over the fountain setup, then I don't think the actual stage structure changed through the various shows and the Ice Age screen was deffo just built at the front of the existing stage....sooo

Looking purely at the front covers of books and judging them -

The world's worst children - crèche to drop kids off so adults can enjoy rides, themed to a prison so they can prepare for Juvy.

The world's worst teachers - realistically recreated classroom walkthrough with seated show elements to teach kids incorrect maths, English and science. What's 2+2 kids? "4" - WRONG, it's the sum total of rides we could have but didn't install.

Grandpa's great escape - a second gate old people's home. Specialising in the worst dementia care in the county.

Demon Dentist - seasonal only walk through family scare attraction. Are you ready for the extraction.

The boy in the dress - Augmented reality screen on a wall where you can see yourself in a dress, kind of, if you stand really still.

Ratbuger - No attraction needed. Just pop along to basically any food outlet on site because rat burgers are basically our entire f&b offering.

Mr Stink - line up, line up, smell these old retired restraints, yes kids, the entire general public are Mr Stink.

Bad dad - driving school, maybe paint it a bit. It'll peel off and look the same next season anyway so why worry about it.

Blob - it's just a fiber glass blob?

Fing - the "Fing Swing", reckon we can get a swing set from Argos.

Billionaire Boy - look at the photo of our glorious leader and CEO. Put £10 in the slot and enjoy it.

Safe to say I'm excited for this area, 11 new attractions!

Mr Stink was filmed in 3D, so I wouldn't be surprised if Merlin were cheap enough to make a deal for some of that footage, alongside smoke machines and smell pods: for the theatre.

I know you're only joking but the Demon Dentist scare maze idea is actually really intrigueing. They should do that. :)

scrap the chainsaws, now they are coming at you with a vacuum and drill. It's basically sponsored by black and decker.

I wasn't entirely joking either, thought it was quite a good idea. Maybe putting kids off the dentist more than they already are wouldn't be entirely good PR though, which is why it made the list.

"My sweet angel won't get a filling because a teenager "sucked" him with a Dyson in a dark room at Alton Towers Resort: World Of David Walliams" - The headlines write themselves.

Could this be a dark ride / trackless ride ? Would they have enough time to construct something like this ?
