I reckon who ever is on Alton Towers social media today is drunk.

I'm guessing because before now it was a manager standing in that's why we got such dry responses.

When we went to the gardens our temperature was taken and we asked what would happen if it was over the accepted level. We were told things like being in a car and walking can give a negative reading, so they would ask you to stand over wherever they wanted to let you and they'd try again in 10 minutes. They wouldn't just automatically tell you to go home.

I assume that is the same system in place now with the park is open.

There's a seperate tent next to the monorail station with a bench, I assume that's the reset area.
 
I heard that some staff confirmed that Rita will be open in a couple of days. Not sure that th13teen will be opening any time soon though
 
I understand the reason for Thirteen being closed (well I understand it as to why it can't open, I just don't understand the system) but what was the reason for Rita being closed? Was there something not ready, or was it to do with COVID-19 procedures?

People have assumed it's covid-19 related but if this was the start of the season it wouldn't seem odd for it to be down because it's just broke.
