If you ride the smiler once or twice I would suspect you will catch it!
Ah. That might be a problem then
All they need to do is swap the water vapour spray to disinfectant and it’ll be fine

The precautions we all need to take to minimise the risk of spreading and catching this virus are exactly the same as the ones to avoid the spread of flu. And I notice no-one is panicking about the spread of that via rollercoaster seat restraints!
As long as no-one sneezes over you or The Smiler's restraints and then you don't lick the restraints, you're pretty safe, and if you do touch something suspicious, wash your hands straight away. This is assuming that Mr Sneezey is infected in the first place!
This was on BBC Points West last night (only available to 7pm tonight) where an expert answers a lot of questions on the subject. Watch from 6m35s

Just think how many people have been sick on the various harnesses?
Smiler’s is definitely the worst because they are so absorbent, whereas Nemmy and Oblivion are a lot easier to clean and anything manky would stay mostly on the surface. Seatbelts are another story, but if the seatbelt is in your face, you’re doing it wrong.
(Also, didn’t think my first post on this forum would be about the ins and outs of vomit covered harnesses...)

I’d put Galactica’s vests in the same zone as Smiler’s harnesses and seatbelts on the absorbent scale, and they could quite easily go in your mouth...

Following the link, you can also make your own dream park map! Nice tool for kids and sweet idea, although the sceptical part of me assumes it is a thinly-disguised survey and I also love the idea that choosing to bring back Ripsaw obviously means they must remove Nemesis, no wonder nothing has replaced it if that is the logic

Anybody know what’s going on with the gatehouse by the railway station? Passed it yesterday and saw this:
It might just me storm repairs, orbit could be the long needed restoration work!
Also, the cash point on the plaza has been completely ripped out, and the whole end of the building has been gutted.

Great video celebrating 40 years of rides and attractions opening.
Image how much longer the video would be if they made a video only just showing all the rides and attractions that they closed and removed...

I think the building behind the cash points was the main cashiers for the park where all the till contents get taken at the end of the day etc. With the rise of card payments they may have decided to relocate and rethink the way they operate their cashiers.

Sorry, I didn’t mean those cash points
(And yes, you’re right, that is the cash office there)
I meant the lonely cash point on the plaza itself

Ah, I've never actually noticed one outside the turnstiles.

Nice video. There's evidence of some actual effort being put into something that won't make them a direct return. I thought there was even a whiff of "the magic" about it, and not just because ITHOTMK was used.
The build your own map is a nice touch too even if a little simple. It reminds me of the early 2000s websites that had a lot of interactivity built in. At least I think they did... am I wearing rose tinted glasses?

You can now build your own Alton Towers Park Map on the website by answering a series of questions. You're then able to download your version after its finish. You can find the link under the 2020 page on the website.

Anyone been able to book hotel stays in November for fireworks? The dates are all greyed out....
They haven’t opened those for bookings yet. I suspect they don’t want to include them in the early season sales because they know they can sell out the hotels during fireworks at full price.
