I’m a little surprised that we haven’t seen any tv advert or a step up in marketing campaign. Wasn’t it this time last year that we saw Alty mans on the side of buses and that big graffiti art in Manchester?

Yep - I’d imagine something tv related is imminent - maybe even tonight during prime time slots

Makes sense I guess. If reliability and teething is an issue at least it’s only is enthusiasts that experience it.

Well bit late for that, as Saturday is a sellout for day tickets and passholders.
I'm getting rather angsty about it myself. Planning a 5am wake up and will no doubt be in the carpark for 7

That's what I'm thinking. In the same way they do for the fireworks due to the amount squeezed onto the lawns and Towers Street, I suspect this is so there is a manageable amount of people in Forbidden Valley. And maybe to help with queues and crowds in the inevitable breakdowns of coasters on the first day.

No I agree more with @Tom on this one. Say if it was at 20k for example, imagine if half the people just went straight to Nemesis. That’s 10k people trying to get on. That’s like 8.5 hour long queue

Imagine if half went to nemesis, they would see a queuetime of a silly amount, and 90% would thus walk away, to try again later, as all the other queues would be around fifteen minutes.

You’d be surprised how long enthusiasts will be willing to wait for it

Thoosies make up a small percentage of total numbers, admittedly opening day brings more out of the rockwork, but all the same, people will spread round the whole park very quickly, for the majority this is an "old" new ride, not a "new" new ride.
First day of the season is usually busy, simple as that.

I think it will be a large number of people heading when open to see the new theming, then the queue fills up to a couple hours and people get some filming of the ride running and then they filter to the rest of the park.

Have we seen the waterfalls going yet? I was under the assumption they were getting repaired.

I suppose we may not know until opening day as they do not need testing around the clock.

Honestly waterfalls returning in any form is looking unlikely but then all because we haven't seen evidence doesn't mean it definitely won't happen.

I’m beginning to think that. With the amount of drone footage and enthusiasts on site surely we would have seen something if there were testing

Only ray of hope is it’s not a big thing to test and you don’t want to test water pumps in the cold.

Perhaps the waterfalls have been tested at night, to avoid the drones, and keep the artistic influence hidden for a big reveal on the magical opening day.

Unfortunately, I don’t think the waterfalls will be back. We’d have seen some evidence of that by now if they were returning.
