OK, so not been to Europa for a while. Did a trip to German theme parks over the last two weeks (had an awesome time) but the main thing that I need to say is that Voltron is absolutely immense. I hadn't appreciated how good it was going to be. Wow. Our entire party were blown away.

Why is there a 70 minute queue today? Is it German school holidays?
It’s German Unity Day tomorrow, a national holiday.
Likely folks are making a long weekend of it.

currently at Europa. Something I’ve seen a few times in Single Rider queue for Voltron. People joining then ducking under the Tensabarrier in to Virtual Line queue. Thus skipping the best part of what was earlier this afternoon a 70 minute wait.
It’s been a problem since opening. It’s surprising they haven’t done much about it yet.

I’m surprised they haven’t either added a higher fence separating the virtual queue and the single queue, or moving the gates to the end of the queue, but I guess then you get a bit of a bottleneck
Interestingly today was in the Voltron Single Rider queue toward end of the day and someone got caught out going from Single Rider to Virtual Queue. There was quite a bit of a stand off for a while before seemingly being given the choice to leave the queue or rejoin back of Single Rider queue. They opted to leave instead. Had a ringside seat listening to it all.
No major long queue today for Voltron, seem to max out at 50 mins for a short while. Usually hovering around 35-45 mins for most of day.
Not had any issues with any roughness that I’ve had a few times of previous visits. Have ridden every row, all outside seat (a good reason to use Single Rider, almost always guaranteed outside seat) and they’ve been fine.

I rode Voltron twice over the weekend, fine both times.
Currently only 1/2 the indoor queue capacity which is great (due to Traumatica event). There is a stage at the far end, and the usual cattle pen queue is gone, instead a smaller one in the opposite direction.
From entering the building to riding is now roughly 15 minutes as opposed to 25 usually.

Quick question.
I’m taking my two kids to EP in October. They’ve always been pretty sensitive to sudden loud noises (dogs suddenly barking next to us et )- I was wondering just how loud the Tesla coils are in the Voltron queue? My older child has largely grown out of this sensitivity but my younger child (who will be 11 by the time of the trip) is still pretty sensitive and it can kick off a bit of a flight response.
At AT later last year, the coil went off in the Thirteen queue but we were able to move swiftly past with fingers in ears.

To be honest, they're Pretty [Content Removed By Online Safety Act] Loud. It can be quite startling when they start up, and there isn't really any warning. The song goes on for a while too, and it's in an area where you could feasibly be stuck for 30+ minutes on a bad day.

They're very loud, and stay on for much longer than Thirteen's single one does. From memory, they're on a cycle that goes off every 15 minutes (this might have changed since 2024!). The two songs played last around 20-30 seconds based on my recordings of them.
Another one from memory- I'm pretty sure that the small LED lights on them changes from red to green as they're about to start. I'm not 100% sure if that's actually an indicator or just a coincidence so take with a grain of salt.

As the others have said, the Tesla coils are extremely loud, and there is no warning before they begin. My group and I all had to cover our ears each time they went off.Quick question.

Plenty of time yet, so we can spend some time looking at YouTube videos of the Tesla coil tune, so he’ll be well prepared for it (hopefully without making him scared of it!)
That’s a good tip to look out for the LED’s possibly changing colour @Electric Elly - forewarned is forearmed!
Half a minute or so every quarter of an hour doesn’t sound excessive so I’m sure he can bung his fingers in his ears and put up with it for that amount of the time.
Thankyou all.

They are pretty loud and start without warning. You are in the indoor section for 10-15 minutes so there is a good chance that they will go off at some point during your trip if you get multiple rides.Quick question.

I would say though that is is just generally very loud in that room. It is a very boomy acoustic, there are sound effects and music being played over surround speakers, a lot of people talking excitably and then rushing to the lockers plus a bit of noise from the coaster. It is also dark with the lighting. I would say it is quite a sensory overload and probably a bit too much imo.
I bring earplugs with me to theme parks and wore them during the indoor section of the queue. Not sure how willing your kids would be to wear ear plugs for a short period but it does help quite a lot.
Wodan is also very loud in the station building just from the roar of the coaster and the station fly through. I saw a few of the ride operators wearing ear plugs and tbh they are probably needed if you are working there.
