The Tesla coils are loudest in the main queue hall, as that's where they're located, but they can still be heard in the locker area and station.

Yeah and it is a bit quieter in the area by the lockers. Once you get to the lockers the queue moves very quick up the stairs. It's only a few minutes wait from there.

They tend to let the queue move to the lockers in batches so it doesn't get too crowded.

The queue after the lockers is the same room for half of it. Can easily get a blast of the coils whilst stood on the stairs.
