2025: General Discussion

Has anyone ever used an app like this? For example, if you noticed that a toilet had run out of toilet paper would you report it on the app, or would you just use a different toilet and get on with your day?

Translation: "we've fired most of our cleaners, so rather than having a fixed cleaning rota we're asking our guests to let us know which toilets the one guy we kept on should head to next"

I can’t fathom what might be worse, the lunacy that they stick QR codes on everything (which I can see happening) because they are so incapable of getting the basics right.

Or the fact staff/guests may be asked to report on full bins.

I just can’t believe this is real.

Hopefully there’s a gardening and theming alert on there. Could be fun

Weirdly I can’t say I have ever had a major issue with the cleanliness of the toilets. They always seem to have cleaners in them.

The bigger issue is the depressingly aged decor and facilitates and lack of hot water.
I would agree, the bathrooms do need a refresh (*cough* thorpe park *cough*)

but I have not had problems getting hot water at the bathrooms, the problem is many of the bathrooms have separate very hot and cold tap, so when it is cold either you are cooking your hands or freezing them, and there isn't much of an alternative (the hot tap is often VERY HOT)

This QR code idea sounds exciting and something which could benefit the park, but it doesn't mean that anything concrete will actually be done.
I'd like to be positive, but I think that Towers will probably ignore most of the reports.

I know it’s in vogue to say everything is terrible at Towers and a lot (most) of it is, but can anyone genuinely say they have gone into the toilets and thought “this hasn’t been cleaned in ages”?

Why would they ignore these QR codes, it’s just the modern way of doing those “tell us if these facilities are not up to standard” signs.

I agree with Dave (shock horror), in all the years visiting towers I’ve never had issue with any of the toilets. There is usually a cleaner mopping the floors, there is always loo paper and soap, and the driers always work.

What more do people want? Heated toilet seats for the winter months?

Honestly no

Yes they’re freezing, looking a little tired in places, or like the ones at entrance needs the spiders removing. But I never think…what a state.

But the bar is low

The entrance toilets never seem to have working hand dryers.

I agree they're cold and I find them generally uninviting. Shame they can't add some personality to them and play the odd fart noise through some overhead speakers to lighten the mood without smelling extra guff.

Realistically completely remodelling all the toilets could be one of the easiest and ‘cheapest’ things they could do across the park. Some of them are ridiculously outdated.

Personally I always judge everywhere I go based on the toilets, they say a lot about a place. I’ve only ever seen them dirty a couple of times, but as far as toilets go there’s definitely room for improvement.

They’re something every single person is going to use at least once throughout the day. It’s the easiest way to make an impact even if it is something as basic as a sparkly new loo.
