This is what happens when you don't read absolutely everything. I missed that. Mea culpa.
I'm not sure what your are referring to won't stop me "banging on about how valley is turning into x-sector? Giant leap there anyway, I've drawn no conclusion. So using your own logic, why have you come to the conclusion otherwise?Answer - you haven't.It won’t stop you banging on about how valley is turning into x-sector (which it isn’t), but why have you concluded the brutalist concrete structure is how the structure will look when it’s finished.
It’s a concrete base, by default at this stage it will be concrete colour, was you expecting them to mix some dye in with the sand before setting it?

I merely speculated that it could do, owing to the branding looking, to me, sci-fi/X Sector like. No idea what it will look like in the end. When some of us were of this opinion for the wider area in 2022, anyone who likes the new direction berrated others accusing them of being "black track haters", who should "wait and see" because Nemesis wasn't going to become "Phalanx The Ride". Maybe, despite your posting history advising to the contrary, there are right and wrong opinions?
They put up red flashy lights, focussed on a sinister organisation, sci-fi, and a clinical look for to the area. I'm just saying that I find that too similar in tone to X-sector. I find the park becoming uninspiring as a result. Personal opinion. I hope that's ok and meets your approval?
I don't understand, I'm lost here. For clarity, I have not decided that anything is definitely going to occur, unless I've stated that? Happy to take it back if I have (?).Opinion varies and that’s fine, having a cautious concern about the potential of something happening, also fine, deciding something is going to definitely occur months before the thing opens is a bit tiring.
Your posting history very much backs up my initial comment
Anyway, the point still stands, the base needs to be concrete, at the moment concrete will look concrety……

Agreed, although I'm skeptical it won't still look like concrete (who knows? I hope not), I wouldn't concretely say otherwise. It's concrete looking because it's made of concrete. Other than the concrete nothing is concrete as of yet. That seems to be the only thing that is concrete. Other than the concrete of course. Which is also concrete.

Which Merlin park are they referring to? I appreciate that it doesn't give a timeframe for when the testing took place, but I can't think of a Topspin which is currently in operation at a Merlin park.
What is an NIA?If I remember correctly, I think they might have used the NIA from Rameses before it closed!

Bit in bold - unintended pun?Lots of trees/shrubs around the circumference and within the area itself. The blade pit is full of shrubbery and overgrown landscaping.
Compare that the X-sector which (granted needs a spruce) but has little in the way of foliage in the main walkable areas. Lots of concrete. Greys. Blacks. Pops of colour around the station buildings (and now oblivions hole). Very late 90s style sci fi buildings mixed with the smilers bare concrete station facade.
Couldn't have put it better myself. I was initially concerned when we first saw FV going black but it's still very distinct. X sector is industrial science, FV is an alien containment outpost (that is clearly failing the containment part)I wouldn’t say it’s clinical. It has giant rock work strewn across the entire Valley (from pre reborn days) which they’ve now adorned a lot of them with veiny red tentacles. The centrepiece of the area is a giant blasted pit in which sits a giant alien creature with lots of detail to
Make it look alive and “gross”.

To be fair they weren't wrong, it's still not a rollercoaster is it? It's a small clearing. Are we experiencing the "we don't know it's a rollercoaster!" phenomenon from the Horizon thread?
Hmm... Main Queue, Fast Track, Ambulant RAP and Possibly Single Rider? That's a very wide staircase. How many queues do we think it can hold? Three? Five?
Place your bets now!"
