[2025] Rulantica General Discussion

Looking at the new concepts it seems the new restaurant and kids area will be built on the side of rulantica next to Snori snorkelling and the new building. Then the new pool set behind that.

I’m guessing they might then open up the inside next to the toilets in that corner to the new restaurant.

Are there still plans to bring the monorail to Rutlantica or is this something I’ve made up in my head?
It’s not something you made up, it’s definitely been mooted. No idea what the current status of any such plans are though.

It would be a hugely welcome improvement - the current bus service is quite a big detractor from the overall experience.

The monorail was originally intended to be built by now, however they have delayed the construction in order to better understand traffic flows and logistics between different arts of the resort. For example, they are intending to move the campsite pitches from the Camp Resort to a location just off the entrance road.

Once they’ve understood what the changes in layouts mean, they are apparently going to build it. What the route may look like is obviously subject to that study, albeit it was originally going to be a shuttle between the car park at El Andaluz, follow the entrance road and then arrive at Rulantica/Kronasar.

Very specific question but are the lifeguards hostile if you're in the lazy river and not in a rubber ring?

You would probably get shouted at if you left the rubber ring, as it operates like a ride in the sense that you queue up then sit on the ring as you would for a water slide, then the attendant will push you onto the course. You have to sit on the ring for the whole circuit, that's the only riding position. You also can't go around more than once without queueing again, as it has a start and end point (next to each other but they always make you get off).

You can go round more than once, done it many times, and seen many others do too. Given the length of the attraction most people only do go round once though.

It looks great and my son would love it but he wants to be in the water, I’m not sure we could get him to stay in the ring for long.

it seemed like i could get away with whatever i wanted when i was there, as long as i stayed moving with the group and kept the ring 'around' my person. i also went round twice. it might depend on how busy the day is.

- Rerides seem to be down to the amount of people queuing and the staff discretion. If it’s quiet you should probably be fine going around as much as you like.

- The enforcement of staying in the ring is very inconsistent. We’ve nearly always been allowed to float around whilst somehow attached to the ring, but there has been the odd occasion where a stickler will insist you sit in it. It’s pot luck.

Thomas Mack has shared a look of how the new outdoor pool is coming on:

Really starting to take shape, and you can see where the pool bar is going to be situated.
