2025: Toxicator - General Discussion

I have to say though it seems to be worse than ever for the water to flood under the tunnel, I’m not sure what’s changed or if it was more windy or what, but it’s like a waterfall now where the tunnel is. Also bags were getting proper drenched on the platform when the fountains went fully in the air, as it seems they aren’t all aligned up properly anymore and aim more towards the platform than the pond.

I haven’t been to the park this year to see it myself, but the fact water would go all over the path without careful consideration seemed obvious from even the redacted planning drawings, so it is odd it wasn’t better considered. Those mesh troughs beyond the fountains would have been better as lined ‘tanks’ to capture more of the wind blown water and then pumped into the main fountain pond as required. Maybe they can be retrofitted as they have done with the sheeting?

I assume they have a water supply up there too, but the lost water must mean they are having to keep filling the ponds.

Alton towers cinematic universe…

Shame they just made all the staff involved in piecing the past 3 years of all this together redundant…

Scarefest and Fireworks this year really will be interesting
Honestly as much as I hate redundancies the park availability has noticeably improved, I would rather have the rides running and new rides then Entertainment, which I hope is a short term thing and reinstated later.

I hate the redundancies, but as others have said it’s a strategy change, they are outsourcing entertainments so it’s unclear if the quality will change. One obvious negative is without the need to keep the actors recruited year round there are fewer ents outside of events (and fewer events) but it’s very possible Scarefest and Fireworks will remain as good (if not better) under an outsourced agreement as skills and tech will be pooled.

Still think overall it’s a bad move however.

Britney Spears: the ride was running on reduced capacity. The 3 seats on either side closest to column were left empty on both sides of the gondola.
No idea why! Luckily didn’t affect ops really as quite a quiet day!

that is a negetive, loosing entertainment is bad, but I can see positives the outsourcing company probably aren't going to want to respectively hire a lot of people each year (it is expensive), there will be other events through the down time of the season from other companies they may be hired for (winter events and probably some new years) potentially meaning they are more experienced, although it depends on what the company is like

This one is only going to annoy the “Toxicator belongs in X-Sector” crowd. But canonically speaking this means that The Phalanx have been selling the Waspirium from Nemesis to the Ministry of Joy…

I hope this doesn’t mean the start of cinematic universe!

Has Toxicator started running other cycles yet? I understand it's run the basic cycle since opening just to get through the newness period, just wondered when it may start to run alternatives.
