It was 100% 2 and then 3 in March. The gondolas swings after the last flip at quite an angle but doesn’t rotate again. It’s 2 then 4 now. People might think it’s another flip when it swings because they’re disoriented but it definitely did not start operating doing a total of 6 flips

According to this video, uploaded on 15th of March, which has a few unbroken cycles from different angles, it was 5 full flips. 2, followed by 3.

I suspect nothing has been changed but it could be that as the ride beds in it's starting to spin a bit more freely, resulting in it now completing an extra flip where before it may have just run out of momentum. It seems too minor to be a deliberate change.
I'm still hoping for some of the other cycles to show up. The fact you could get very different rides was key part of what made me rate Ripsaw so highly.

This exactly, the weather is also warmer, so the lubricants and whatnot will be less vicious. The cycles are far to identical, minus the extra spin, to be different cycles.

Clearly the ride is supposed to do that in the event of an emergency something has gone wrong

it probably is,Clearly the ride is supposed to do that in the event of an emergency something has gone wrong
in the past when a flat ride was E-stopped it may have cut power to all of its actuators, on some rides this would cause the ride to drop or move unexpectedly (often to the load position) but this is more dangerous as if someone makes it onto the load platform, they could be under the ride and get seriously injured as the ride moves despite being e-stopped
as a result flat rides often will be designed stop in position and then having some mechanism maintenance can use to lower it
