2025: Toxicator - General Discussion

It’s good to see the rest of the artwork has now been painted back in the Toxicator queue line.IMG_9520.jpeg
Looks better hopefully Toxicator can be on a soaker setting soon they need some more soaking rides at Towers Battle Galleons sure gets you soaked but a Log Flume or even this would be a good soaker ride

Is there any factual evidence of the jets shortening life spans on the newer suspended models, or is it just enthusiast Chinese whispers?

Seems strange that the manufacturer would continue to push the water jet feature if this is a known issue.

Given AT had Ripsaw, I can’t imagine Merlin taking any extra risk by knackering their new ride up knowingly. Especially since they’ve installed the dryers for people next to it.

Rain can't be avoided, but water jets can. Also, try splashing something like rain vs firing a jet of water at it and the jet has way more chance of forcing its way into something.
Mechanism exposed to the rain is easy to plan for and drain, good old gravity...but once you start it spinning, moisture can get trapped in naughty places within, can't drain, and starts the rot.
Quickly.

Toxy's lift is open from the looks of things

Also never ceases to amaze me the public in single rider queue, only 15 min wait but probably a 30+ min queue in single rider

Edit: the lift is working

Well technically if those guests in the Single Rider queue are actually single riders from groups that do not wish to ride then they have just followed the signage and chosen the correct queue.

Us in terms of enthusiasts who understand the full use-case of that queue know that in the scenario you described it would be better for them to use the main queue but most less informed about "theme park stuff" general public are just following the signage correctly.

they were groups, they were talking about how they expected to to be significantly quicker and were complaining that they only let one or two people up per cycle,

my point was that the SRQ was up to the entrance, but looking through the tunnel, the main queue ended at the last set of stairs (prob like a 10 is min queue)

I know we are aware of how fast queues move, but I have been with non enthusiasts and after getting in a queue that didn't move much for like 10 is mins they were saying about how they should just do something else I feel like it should be a bit of common sense that if they queue hasn't moved for like 10-15 mins (and the main queue is 10-15 mins) maybe they should change to the main queue
