[2025] Toxicator: New Forbidden Valley Suspended Top Spin

I'm not getting the hype. I mean, I really like a TopSpin (Rameses was great because most kids couldn't ride it 😉). I'm sure I'll really like a TopSpin on stilts. But it's no game-changer... Maybe if they'd installed 4-5 flat rides at the same time - that would be a game-changer queue-wise.

Or the "how dare anyone say something negative about a new ride because it's temporarily taken my mind off all the other bad things" post? Based on likewise presumptions of course.

Yes they can, to answer your question. And they have loud and clear, which is great on a free opinion forum (you used to defend this?). A mix of opinions is great. It's what I like and something you usually advocate (but not at this moment in time for some reason?).

I'm struggling to see your point beyond trying to control the narrative with a highly presumptuous "a usual suspect doesn't agree and hasn't fallen into line! Get 'im lads" reaction?

You didn’t say anything bad about the new ride, that would have been fine in the rides topic, but bringing in a negative about the park in general on a topic about a new ride was jarring.

Your opinion on the general lack of flat rides and under 1.3m attractions is very valid but just because the resort has a multitude of problems shouldn’t mean people can’t say something positive about the place. It’s not black and white, and there are plenty of topics to discuss the many issues with the resort in general.

As per an email this morning to RAP users, Toxicator will have a minimum age restriction of 10+ in addition to the 1.4 metre height restriction, plus a maximum height restriction of 1.95 metres.
Wonder how they plan to enforce that age restriction. They going for the "are you 10 little chap?" "absolutely am my good sir" because lets face it parents won't self enforce will they.

I think that's one of the first times they have a age restriction that isn't a recommendation. How will that work? 🤔

I would imagine it's guidance for parents to indicate its not suitable for their child. If they meet the height requirement I doubt this will be enforceable which is exactly why it's now under 90cm for free entry, and not 2 and under.

Many thorpe park ones do, I think the walking dead and saw have a restriction.
They're recommendations normally due to the scary/horror content of those attractions stated.

Thorpe Park won't usually stop someone younger from riding Saw, TWD and Ghost Train if they're feeling brave enough.

I believe that's why they have a 1.4m (or in Ghost Train's case 1.3m) height requirement for those rides when it could be lower for it's ride type.
