[2026]Bluey Coaster in CBeebies Land

At least we know its happening. Anyone think the theme could be anything other than bluey?
When the plans were first announced, I felt that the name "Project Sunshine" could be a reference to the Teletubbies. I do think Bluey is more likely, though.

Doctor who
As a massive whovian, I love that idea! Dr who is getting a preschool animated show in 2027/28 so maybe it'll line up to whatever gets commissioned?

I have also heard rumours of that, but let's face it- when was the last new Teletubbies episode? And bluey is literally THE KIDS SHOW TO END ALL KIDS SHOWS
The number of CBeebies-age kids wearing the Primark Oasis t shirts this summer backs up the Project Sunshiiiiiine theory
I don't get it

Bluey confirmed!

Get ready for the launch of the world’s first Bluey ride … hooray! Opening Spring 2026 at Alton Towers Resort in the UK’s only CBeebies Land.
As well as a brand-new ride, audiences get to experience all the Bluey fun at Alton Towers Resort, including the popular Heeler family meet-and-greets and live experience within Big Fun Showtime. Plus, fans have the chance to enjoy the ultimate Bluey sleepover at the award-winning CBeebies Land Hotel too!

Edit: There appears to be an echo in the room @Mick @Dobba 😂

I think this development nearly sums up one of the biggest problems with the park. A focus on chasing fads and novelties at the expense of a quality experience.

I’m sure some people will visit, because “Bluey”, but what they’ll be experiencing will likely be an underwhelming experience with a massive queue. At the same time, the park has lost a popular tracked ride which will almost certainly be a longer and richer attraction than what is replacing it. And people queuing 45 minutes for Squirrel Nutty are now getting another shorter, less richly detailed experience.

Not exactly a positive long term decision.

So, if this is unbelievably popular.

Alton are offering an oval roller coaster? And have subsequently removed an important no height restriction offering for all guests, something they are otherwise lacking in. And destroyed one of the few outdoor seating areas in a prime part of the park in the process.

It’s just bad theme park decision making all round.

Good luck to them, the circus continues. Much like the puddle stained Intoxictor, I’ll reserve judgement but expect ‘good idea, badly executed’

One Aussie out, one Aussie in.

Its the Bluey Adults I'm more concerned about.

Doubt anyone would underestimate the popularity of any Bluey themed attraction. However they likely won't care as long as it means feet through the gate, money in pocket and what-not.

The popularity is such that a single ride wouldn't do it justice. Much like how Paw Patrol is doing at Chessie.
