Does it though? Does it really??Honestly looks amazing compared to Smiler'sSoviet tower blockstation.
The station is still progress on Octonauts in that it has a roof!
It’s based on this clip from the show which has Bluey and Bingo “driving” around and making a mess of the garden, they go near the house but not in it
Because then it would be a second attraction, needing its own budget (which they likely don’t have) and ongoing extra operational budgetI have a toddler. I know Bluey.
But why not have the queue explore the house? Plenty of scope to have Easter eggs or photo points to make the queue a bit more manageable for the target audience.
Because then it would be a second attraction, needing its own budget (which they likely don’t have) and ongoing extra operational budget
And people will start complaining that their 0.7m tall kid only wanted to go to the walk-through attraction and asking why they have to queue with all the taller kids waiting to ride the rollercoaster
In short, you’re asking them to build a whole separate attraction which they don’t have the budget for
He's asking them to build an immersive and well themed queue experience... you know... like theme parks are supposed to do. Not a second attraction.Because then it would be a second attraction, needing its own budget (which they likely don’t have) and ongoing extra operational budget

I think the reason that CBeebies Land has managed to last so long is because of its ability to reinvent itself, the lineup this season will almost be completely different from its opening day. They can always get more Bluey attractions, but the CBeebies umbrella has enabled them to build attractions and stay more evergreen than any individual IP in the area.If AT/Merlin had the budget and the ability to do so (which they don’t) I’d make the whole CBeebies land a Bluey land. Bluey on its own is a stronger IP than CBeebies (imo).
But yes I can’t get on board with the argument that a queue line shouldn’t be too good - extreme example being something like the Ministry of Magic at Epic!
I may be remembering wrong here, but I'm sure I heard that they were going to install small activity areas (like get set go) in the queue?
It's a 2D cartoon. I'd expect flat, cartoon like signage and props. It's a bit like many Merlin projects. One or two key bits of theming that look excellent… then flat printed signage, painted metal, and cheap-looking finishes.
It will be in keeping with the rest of CBeebies, but it's frustrating that Merlin is unable to maintain that high-quality consistency you see in some places, which highlights that they are very well capable of creating great stuff.
In the case of Bluey, the house looks excellent, that central theming piece is excellent. The rest looks cheap and naff and the station is awful.

The colours and designs match the show perfectly.
Ah... the final moments of a closed season....at the moment we seem to be overanalysing a staircase
