[2026] CBeebies Land Junior Coaster

But they are designed to have 1 train so capacity isn't an issue they actually have more throughputs then a coaster designed to have 2 that run 1
Not all of them. It depends on the model. The 207m for instance only has 16 riders per cycle.

Obviously I’d expect this to have a bit more than that (with it being a custom) but it really does depend.

I’d be stunned if this attained much over 300pph. Obviously we don’t know how long the trains are, but if Octonauts is anything to go by, I once timed that at a grand total of 218pph (from the queue line of Spinball, I might add!).

Even if it did have a longer train, I don’t think we’re looking at a dispatch interval under 3-4 minutes here.

I expect that the ride will attract quite long queues on a typical day. That’s at least partially why it took me 4 years to ride Octonauts; the day I rode it is the first day I ever saw it on a next to walk on queue!

It's surprising to me how many of these thoosie vloggers are prepared to venture into kids areas to claim a cred on a wacky worm coaster, especially if it's the only new thing in the park.
I honestly think that's crazy, especially with pre-schooler IPs.

They may get away with Nickelodeon Land due to millennial nostalgia and appeal to a wider age group but Cbeebies is known for pre-schoolers so more likely to get stares from parents.

I'm going to be honest, I'm not sure why I'd get the idea of going into Cbeebies Land for a credit.

For me, IP/theme has always been a little bit of a mental barrier to riding children’s roller coasters. I am far less inclined to ride a children’s coaster if it has an obviously childish theme in many cases.

For instance, I’m pondering the idea of nabbing the two smaller credits I don’t yet have at Paultons on my upcoming visit; because they’re inobtrusively integrated within the more “adult” themes of Tornado Springs and Lost Kingdom, it feels less odd to ride them for some reason.

But if those same rides were in Peppa Pig World, I’d be hesitant to touch them with a 10ft barge pole!

I think it might be the idea this coaster will help support Octonauts on busy days. Thats why generally some parks have more than 1 kiddie coaster.

For me going into those area is little bit nostalgic I used to watch Cbeebies and Thomas as a kid. And to be honest although they are kids area there the most well themed and colourful areas in each respective park. Plus tend to have the most rides.

Also riding Get Set Go reminds me of riding Squirrel Nutty as a kid

That is exactly on point with what I mean, a lot of it will be because of IP.

That is absolutely right as well, a lot of Cbeebies IPs are from when some of us grew up in the 80s, 90s, 00s such as Postman Pat which is why I'm sure a lot of people will miss Pat.

Thomas I'd say is certainly a nostalgia trip for a lot of people of that era and has a lot of appeal for neurodivergent people of different ages (almost to the point of stereotype). I think that is another discussion in itself that needs sensitivity and will diverge from this discussion.

There is the point about Squirrel Nutty which I'd say is similar with the Dungeons and Toyland Tours.

I wish they utilised more older Cbeebies IPs that used to be part of it there are some shows I remember well they should have a museum in there describing history of various programmes

That would be incredible however I think some of shows that we remember are not owned or licensed by the BBC anymore.

Shows like Pingu, Fireman Sam, Bob the Builder etc. are no longer airing on Cbeebies.

Postman Pat is now a DreamWorks Classics IP which may explain why he's retiring soon as Dreamworks is Universal.

Actually just had a thought could this Cbeebies Land Coaster be like Baa-a-a Express looks like a similar size to that and nobody seems to complain about that. We don't know the manufacturer yet so it could be that.

That operated with 1 train to

It won’t be a Ba-a-a clone. That ride is only 9.8ft tall, whereas this ride is apparently 8m tall (I’m not sure on what that is in imperial; I think it’s around 25ft?).

Believe it or not, this coaster will actually be taller than Octonauts!

*Train. I can't see how this can run more than one.
I could see it having more than one train, but not operating with more than one.

The old design had the maitanence bay with the probable switch track and the new design looks like it MAY be on top of its maitanence bay, similar to tornado springs.

I also wonder if this may be an attempt to replace the octonaughts ride,

if it had the 2 trains it could be more feasible for longer running (a lot of the closed season work is dissasembling inspecting and reassembling the trains from my understanding, having a spare train could allow it to be done whilst the ride is open)

The octonaughts ride is also not the best themed nor the best queue experience, this could be an attempt to improve the overall quality of the land.

The octonaughts ride is also blocking the adventure land as a potential expansion plot, the only really way this land could expand

The octonaughts ride is quite a generic ride, no custom terrain just some footers and would probably be quite easy to move to another park or arround AT.

Do we know what type of Coaster this could be whether standard seating position or could be a spinning coaster
