Alpine Coaster for Snowdonia

Mate... one of my oldest friends* is from Mold. I've been there... Many a time. Best thing I can say for the place is "you can visit other places from there"

* "DJ Flip-Flop", for those of you who were at fireworks last year. ;)

£15 for just the alpine coaster!? That surely can't be right? The Hasenhorn Rodelbahn at Todtnau costs €9.50 a go (including the chair lift up) and I doubt this one is going to be as spectacular or thrilling.

:)

It's about a third longer than Sommerrodelbahn at Alpin Center Bottrop, so a third extra cost? Nope, €3.50 for the Rodelbahn, £15 in Wales :O You could get a 5 card and a drink for the same cost in Bottrop.

I suppose it's a cred though...

The ziplines at those venues aren't cheap either. Sure, they look spectacular, but they're £60 each! It's a bargain in comparison.

Depends what you perceive value as I guess.

We paid £40 each online for Zipworld (velocity.) There are two ziplines, but it takes an age to get up the mountain/hill to the top, its almost like a little tour. I mean, being a self confessed adrenaline junkie, I thought it was good value. No roller-coaster or drop tower could come close to this Zipline, Compared to skydiving, bungee jumping or base jumping, it's actually really good 'value.'

There is a lot to do around there too, You have bounce below, both of the zipworlds, plenty of climbing/hiking, plenty of decent hotels and pubs, now this alpine coaster... Sure I'll give it it go next time I'm up there. £15 or not.

There's this on Facebook:

Work on the new Zip World Fforest Coaster is coming along nicely! First of it's kind in the U.K.

Buy your vouchers for Fforest Coaster at the introductory price offer of £15 for 3 rides here!

But the website has me a bit confused. I have no idea whats happening with it but £5 a ride is fair enough

Well, if it does turn out to be £15 for 3 rides (and thus effectively £5 for one), that's a lot more reasonable!
