Best coaster for airtime in the UK?

In the UK i would say Icon, and The Smiler's second airtime hill. Both decent for airtime.

Not sure about the grand national as i'm too busy trying to avoid kidney damage whenever i ride it to notice!

Im surprised no one has mention Speed at Oakwood. I thought the air time hill was insane. Bit rough but that airtime hills is lovely.
That is a fantastic one, and I’m very surprised if I didn’t mention it in my opening post!

As usual, everyone has completely forgotten about Revolution @ BPB - probably one of the most underrated coasters we have in the UK.

It's a far better airtime machine than many of the rides mentioned so far in this thread, with multiple bursts of ejector airtime. If you're at the back of the train you even get airtime coming up the hill into the station when people might think the ride is basically over.

Dunno if it's just me but if a ride has shoulder restraints, I can't count it as having good airtime.

I mean it's obviously there but for me the feeling of being completely exposed and getting ejected out of your seat is what it's all about.

There are a couple of exceptions to this rule eg Lech Coaster and Maverick which have multiple moments of sustained airtime. But the likes of Smiler and Speed don't do much for me. They're good coasters for different reasons (well, not so much Speed).

Icon on the back row once it's warmed up is probably the best in the UK. Or Megafobia.

I’ve never understood why people rate Revolution so highly. I find it dull and somewhat pointless.

As far as BPB is concerned I’d say

Revolution= overrated
Big One= underrated

And I include airtime in that analysis.

Revolution always makes me want to puke...every last time.
And I mean many thousands of times over the years sadly.
Airtime on the Big One is over the top of the first hill from the back seat, and front seat into the MCBR on a good day, fast wheels.
Another vote for the Rev though.

I've never experienced any airtime on the Big One.

My vote goes to Revolution and The Smiler's second airtime hill.

I did get some airtime on revolution once on the front row, but i banged my knee against the front of the car, so it took the joy away from it somewhat.

I’ve purposely ignored Revolution for at least the last three years purely because I find it dull.

Based on what people are saying, I will give it a go next time I visit BPB. I honestly don’t remember any airtime.

Nobody's mentioned the Ultimate yet. Airtime certainly isn't its most memorable quality, particularly as you don't get many hills relative to the length of the ride experience. However, the hills after the first lift hill give surprisingly good airtime, and there's an especially brutal moment on the return leg where the train doesn't so much go over a hill as have the track torn from under it, giving brief but spectacular ejector airtime.

It's what i like to call rough airtime! This is the same as the Grand National and maybe the Big Dipper tbh! Crazy, rough and good combined into one create this!
