If you are planning to go to the theme parks or Warwick Castle more than eight times over the year then the parking benefit alone is worth it (£40 to upgrade pass and parking is £5).

Think it was £50 for the upgrade last time I did it. They probably just saw me coming though and ripped me off.

Always get our MAPs in January as it ties in with both the sale and 3 birthdays in our house, so part of the birthday gifts (although we get 1 x carers pass anyway).

Went to premium this year to give us the parking and free use of London attractions at any time of year. Current count is 5 x AT, 1 x Warwick, 2 x Chess, 1 x Thorpe, 2 x SeaLife and 2 x London Eye including sunset. Not counting discounts on food and gifts etc. AT again on Sunday as one trip delayed due to the incident. Expect to do 10 trips to Alton over the year including the fireworks, off to London again in October also and Blackpool next month.

A park assistant at Chess said that the summer sale was slightly less value, but no idea really.but can easily say we get our money worth :)

When is the summer sale normally?

There was a sale last month so you might have missed it.

Just checked what I paid for our brand new (i.e. not a renewal) standard Family pass - we paid £103.20 each (which has already paid for itself due to the discounts I got at AT and Chessington on hotel rooms).

I got a good discount through a Corporate discount scheme called Lifestyle which my employer is signed up to. It might be worth checking if your employer has similar corporate discounts too.
