What on earth would you do with such a thing? It looks minging and separated from the rollercoaster it has nothing at all to link it to the ride/park - it just has Pepsi branding. When the park teased “235 unwrapped” yesterday on social media I didn’t think it was going to be an advert for them selling the can wrappers for £1500 quid each.

If it’s just a QR code they need, how would they tell?Quick update on the season pass saga, no longer allowed to use a screenshot on your phone, has to be displayed in the app
They are absolutely determined to make the experience worse
And why does it matter exactly provided they can verify it’s you using it?
I'm not sure, but I had to stand there and wait whilst the app opened with the terrible signal in there. I'm too lazy to open it to confirm, but I'm sure their own website recommends using a screenshot for your eticket...If it’s just a QR code they need, how would they tell?

I do think it's funny as the turnstiles only allow you to scan once a day at the entrance, so by checking manually and not scanning anything, they've took away a security feature if anything.
It's also not clear if that security lane is exclusive for pass holders, as I saw many people queue for a while, reach the front only to see the sign saying season pass entrance and turned themselves away.

Presumably once inside you can still get issued a paper E-ticket anyway. I still think this is the easiest way to do it. No bother then about opening the app, phone signal etc, at the scanner.
And if someone is taking ages at the scanner, surely the staff will just let them in anyway to keep things moving.

Last time I visited a couple of weeks ago they were waving people though the Big One turnstile most of the day.And if someone is taking ages at the scanner, surely the staff will just let them in anyway to keep things moving.
It had been broken for weeks and was just freely spinning, but I notice they all seem to be working properly this week.Last time I visited a couple of weeks ago they were waving people though the Big One turnstile most of the day.
Launch pad appears to have a new fence, in the area there used to be batching. Not clear what for, as they weren't using it yesterday, but looks like it could be speedy? It's only one of the movable fences but it has been painted black.
Extremely busy today for a Sunday, I'd say there are more here today than yesterday. Suspect that's because of the discounted tickets for Sundays, so there's very strong evidence price is the key factor keeping people out

Form memory (not been since start of year). Turnstile at entrance don't have the ability to show the photo associated with the entry so they need to see it from the ticket. A screenshot can be "modified" to be someone else, but the entry in the app is rendered using the photo on your account so won't be "modified". Hence the app.
I'm assuming the physically pass (it has your photo on it) and a paper entry will work collected fro ticket office when I arrive, don't own a 'modern' smartphone & don't bother prebooking anymore. Don't see the point..

Guess annual pass holders entries won't work on the entrance turnstiles otherwise, why both going through the hassle on pass holders entrance.
I am sure that is 100% intentional and could not possibly have been an oversightI heard from a very solid source that some "work based" discount sites have been offering the four for £99 friday/sunday group ticket at half price, twelve pounds fifty each!

Yeah I imagine the physical pass would suffice, it'd be very hard to argue against. It's no doubt set as you say to reject if scanned. The obvious solution here is either a turnstile that can display a photo, or even a handheld device. They did used to scan tickets when leaving the park using an Android device
Few other quick updates:
In Skyforce news, it has taken flight (ish) this week, the planes are stationary in the air.
Over at Aviktas, some more groundwork has taken place, there's a couple of rectangles of perfectly level ground now.
Oh, and Burger King appear to have stopped leaving the drinks on the counter

I genuinely believe most of this nonsense has come about purely due to enthusiast YouTubers / Influencers who will pay stupid money for things that otherwise would never sell, purely to flaunt on their content and recoup costs via said content. When the park teased “235 unwrapped” yesterday on social media I didn’t think it was going to be an advert for them selling the can wrappers for £1500 quid each.

To sell the wrapping for the big one cans for £1500 is absolutely embarrassing in my opinion.
The park is clearly on its **** to be doing things like this, and as usual from events being cancelled and the ever changing prices, inability to check season passes using scanners which show your image on them, and the plethora of other issues just sums it up really.
Nothing other than **** poor, top down management.
Say what you like, but the park won't exist in 5 years. Especially when AVIKTAS flops due to a stupid name that half the YouTubers can't even seem to say correctly, its probably too wild for most, and no doubt they'll botch the marketing campaign and probably take the **** with ticket pricing when it opens charging more.
I strongly disagree the park has more money than you think, they paid off the loan fir the Gyro Swing quickly and it's survived this long and will continue to do soI genuinely believe most of this nonsense has come about purely due to enthusiast YouTubers / Influencers who will pay stupid money for things that otherwise would never sell, purely to flaunt on their content and recoup costs via said content.

I would love a Mack Big Dipper to replace Infusion.Would a Mack Big Dipper or Mack Stryker fit Pleasure Beach well. Not sure which would fit more due to capacity reasons. Because Pleasure Beach does get busy but is more quiet more often
