Blackpool Pleasure Beach: 2025 Discussion

There is no profit from the show, it has run for decades at a massive loss, the actual amount wrapped up in the accounts of several companies.
The show is now free, and over 90 per cent of the tickets for tonight's show are still available.
The cast and backroom staff put on a fantastic show that is worth watching...but nobody does.
They can still create costumes for rent in the industry, through the award winning stageworks, without a loss making ice show, that is about three decades out of date with the modern audience.
Bring back something like Eclipse, simple.

Like it or not, without the show and the infamous high standard that come along with a certain producer, the quality of the product would slip and their customers would look elsewhere (I’m talking customers such as Vogue and Grazia - the work at stageworks extends way beyond the Theme Park industry. )

It would be a shame to lose Hot Ice - it’s not as though the park have a history for replacing derelict / empty spaces (The Dome)

It would be a shame to lose it, but it has already lost its audience.
Typical theatrical attendances run around 50 to 75 percent don't they, very few make a good profit, very few sell out.
But 10% is 10%.
It must also be pretty demoralising for the performers and backstage staff to run to virtually empty houses on a routine basis.
Keep the stunning outfits, lights and music, just change the footwear.

The two for fifty, four for ninety nine offer on fri and sundays has been extended through the rest of the season, and bank holiday monday has been cut to the same price...on what was always one of the busiest days of the year.
